Absolute perfect weekend trip with the vibes you want, easy access to beaches and the local flavor. Bunches of monkeys and other wildlife so you feel like you are in the jungle...with great style.

Aguas Claras is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We stayed in the Bibiri one bedroom bungalow which was perfect for the two of us. The king size bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was very spacious and the amenities were plentiful. Our bungalow which was estrés in the beautiful grounds was very private and spotlessly clean. One of the best features of this bungalow is the huge covered front porch. Every evening, before dinner, we would sit for an hour listening to the birds while trying to spot monkeys, sloths, tucans and other wildlife. The beautiful semi private beach is only steps away. There are lounge chairs, towels, beverages, clean bathrooms and snacks available. Breakfast offers many choices and is served in a very comfortable outdoor area. While Aguas Claras is stunning, what most makes it stand out is the wonderful staff that works at this property. Without exception, everyone is kind, helpful and professional. In particular, I would like to thank Arriett for always being there for us. Thanks to Aguas Claras for making our stay a perfect one

An absolutely perfect honeymoon location! The service was 5 star top notch in every way: thoughtful, discrete, and exceptionally kind. The food was absolutely superb- from the romantic dinner settings to lunch on the semi private beach- everything we had was flavorful and delightful. The setting was romantic, quiet, lush jungle, and quiet beach. We even enjoyed monkeys, sloths, and tropical birds within the resort. We enjoyed several walks to nearby locations, and unique tuktuk rides into Puerto Viejo for souvenir shopping. Our local guide on a few tours was very knowledgeable and pleasant. And the rooms were simple but absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway, even a lovely private outdoor shower on our bungalow’s back porch. Everything was delightful and we enjoyed our week stay thoroughly and with very fond memories.

We spent the best 4 night stay at Hotel Aguas Claras! When we decided to book our trip to Costa Rica, we looked for a place that could provide a low-key, no rush, natural/scenic surrounding while still getting great comfort, food and service. Aguas Claras provided just that and definitely much more! The service was impeccable but yet friendly and casual! The grounds and our room were clean and very well tended to - housekeeping and the ground keepers do a fabulous job. We had all of our breakfasts (Gallo Pinto is delicious) and dinners at Papaya and the food was just excellent all around. We especially enjoyed the barbecue on Friday night... sooo good. The whole restaurant area is very welcoming with couches and sitting areas everywhere. You could easily spend the whole day there sipping a cocktail or a coconut water and reading a book poolside losing track of time. We also enjoyed the Dalime bar by the beach, so convenient and a very short walk from the hotel. The lunch menu at Dalime is great too - we really enjoyed the ceviche! **** Our stay would NOT have been the same without the big smiles and friendliness of the wait staff - Especially Frayman, Arriett, and Michael!! It was great seeing your smiles every day! Danya was awesome too and introduced us to the Chiliguaro on our last night!!! You guys are the absolute best and you TRULY made our stay in Costa Rica extra special. **** We rarely visit the same location twice (there is so much to see in the world)... but we might very well make an exception for this one :)

A beautiful resort located by the beach - we saw as much wildlife at the hotel as we did in 3 national parks.

This place is really special! We stayed in Cacao, a wonderful bungalow in a welcome shady patch surrounded by lush green plants (and lots of agoutis!) The hotel is styled beautifully - extremely relaxing day beds on the wonderful balcony, cool cotton bed linen, gorgeous bathroom toiletries, great decor in the poolside dining area. The pool itself was cool and refreshing - just what was needed. The wildlife around the bungalows is amazing! The staff are all extremely friendly, attentive but not intrusive, and extremely hardworking. Hotel Aguas Claras is a lush, cool, paradise.
