Beautiful property in downtown Coban. The property is quite pretty, with a tree growing in the plaza. Breakfast was included and was quite good. The staff care about their guests. Free parking. Comfortable room. Excellent public spaces. Central location

We were received by very friendly staff. The rooms were nice, comfy beds and a good shower! We had a nice breakfast and staff helped us organize some transfers and gave us good info on different activities around the area. Overall very good quality for Money.

We decided to stay at this hotel having another 2 hour drive to the city we planned. On arrival our rate was bumped up an additional $10. Employee said management had arrange rate. Clearly seeing our rate with taxes. They convince us to leave at 7 am for BF. Then they wouldn’t serve until another hour. Delaying our trip 2 additional hours with NO Breakfast.

We were lucky as we had a last minute cancellation, and needed to find an emergency solution. Patricia found us 7 rooms that saved us in Coban. Clean rooms and bathrooms (including common facilities). Good breakfast service, and amazing plum cake.

We were at Coban to go to Semuch Champey. We had an awesome stay at Don Juan Matalbatz. Its easily accessible , close to markets and restaurants. Esteban ( owner) right from the start was always connected with me on WhatsApp and made sure our stay was comfortable. Service was so personalised I must say. A special thanks to Lionel, he made sure we had a comfortable stay and all our requests were met to the fullest. The roo s are good, clean. Its good for a cosy stay. Food at the hotel is amazing and delicious. We enjoyed the Guatemalan delicacies. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Esteban is further improvising the ambience. Hice mi reservación por teléfono, una semana antes de mi viaje. Desde la ciudad capital de Guatemala, hasta Cobán, Alta Verapaz. (5 horas) Al llegar al hotel, me comenta el de la recepción que no existe mi reservación, ni la de mis 4 compañeros. Y efectivamente nos dejaron sin habitación. Me parece bastante poco profesional e independientemente de lo “bonitas” o de “cómodas” que sean las habitaciones. El dejar a alguien sin reservación, mientras lo hizo ordenado y tranquilamente, es poco profesional y habla de un “hotel” sin experiencia y de un servicio pésimo, el joven no contestó y no me solucionó nada a las 8 de la noche.
