We had a 2 night stay here for my birthday, we had a voucher from my husbands boss for £250 ,which we used for the accommodation, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the room and the staff were all lovely , I had a birthday card and some chocolates in our room when they found out it was my birthday, its surrounded by beautiful countryside and was so peaceful and quiet . The only downside of our stay was the cost of the food and the drinks ! We had two 3 course meals on the Saturday and Sunday , . We were astounded by the cost of the alcohol the first glass of wine I had on arrival was £19 !!! I then found a cheaper wine that was £12! That was I think the cheapest class , so I only allowed myself 2 glasses in the evening due to the cost, my husband had San Miguel, they were £6.50 a glass !! When we checked out today we had a bill of £379 !! This was for 2 meals and drinks ( I would usually have had more to drink but I refused to pay these extortionate prices !! We would not have stayed here If we'd not been given a voucher for the accommodation, . For £379 we could have had a week away!! We had a lovely time but this has definitely put a damper on it !!

Needed a serious lie down in nice surroundings. Lovely three-day stay. Staff lovely and attentive and ensure that you have everything you need. In particular, thanks to Kai and Stephanie. Beautiful grounds, lovely rooms with very comfortable beds. Just what the doctor ordered!

The Audleys Wood Hotel is a traditional Manor House hotel on the outskirts of Basingstoke. The room was ok but slightly outdated though fairly clean. Although the bathroom required some repairs doing to it. The beds were quite comfy and tea and coffee facilities were pretty decent. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Zoe in the restaurant was really friendly and accommodating and made our breakfast much better. Overall Audleys Wood is a decent hotel but there are a few small things that could have made our experience better.

Sunday lunch in The Conservatory. Friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful surroundings. Roast chicken was cooked perfectly and the deserts were delicious. A little on the pricey side once the service charge is added but overall a nice place for a special occasion.

Our daughter and son in law have just got married at Audleys Wood Hotel, Basingstoke, Hampshire on Fri. 29th Nov. This is the most beautiful place,all decorated for Christmas the staff were amazing, the food was excellent. We would certainly recommend Audleys Wood Hotel as the ideal venue for a wedding.

This is the second hotel run by Hand Picked Hotels. Yet again we don’t have any complaints. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and ideal for our two night stay. The food was very good in the restaurant. We hope to try another one of their hotels next year.
