Highly recommend a visit to Chateau Purcari. . . I stayed over for the night and stayed in a wine barrel-shaped bedroom with a view of the vineyards (see attached photo). After arriving and washing up, I had an enjoyable winery tour, learning about sparking and non-sparkling processes, and then enjoyed a delightful tasting over dinner. Recommend the Negru and Sauvignon Blanc. . . . Credit to the kitchen for making special arrangements for me - most places in Moldova don't go above and beyond to cook vegetarian AND gluten free food, but the Purcari folks were great. In the AM, I did the 8km loop through the vineyard, stopping off at a belvedere at the end of a row of almond trees to see some amazing views. Definitely do that!

We came for dinner at chateau purcari and we could not have been more satisfied. From start to finish everything exceeded our expectations. The food can be compared to a Michelin star restaurant. The chef is absolutely amazing. The wines were great and the waiter Christian did his best to recommend the best dishes and wines. Really loved this dinner. Thank you

The hotel is very elegant and spotless, as well as the gardens. Considering the high accommodation price, our expectations were high regarding the food & beverage and the experience my family and our friends had at dinner was mixed. The waiters were inexperienced and did not explain in detail what was asked about the dishes, so some people in our group ended up eating something they did not intend to order. In the morning there was no sparkling mineral water left in stock and it was extremely hot outside, the worst possible time to run out of mineral water. Also we did the winery tour, lead by the guide Cristina, who seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else. We did not have enough time to read all the interesting information posted in the historical cellars. The tasting was also made in a hurry, without too much information provided. Overall it was a nice experience at Purcari but we will not be back.

We stayed an enchanting night in Chateau Purcani, where I had the luxury of being in a wooden globe on the roof, with the night sky visible and an amazing sunrise. The chateau itself is more like a castle, with a grand hall where a delightful breakfast was served. The weather allowed for an evening meal in the gardens and the food quality was surprisingly high, meeting any fine diners’ expectations. The winery is one of the most famous wine brands in Eastern Europe and an official supporter of the Royal House of Romania and the UK. The tasting of 5 wines included the local variety Fetească neagră (black lady) and Fetească albă which are without doubt my favourite - not to be missed!

I had my wedding recently at Chateau Purcari, I’m Moldavian and my husband is British, so we had a mixed wedding with a combination of traditions. I can’t express my gratitude for all the staff for being so involved, supporting and helping with everything we have requested. A very high customer service! A big and special thank you for Niculina Bacalim, she organised our wedding and made our dream wedding come true! For sure the best Moldavian wine it’s Purcari and it’s even more delicious having it at the Chateau surrounded by nature, beautiful people and so delicious food! Food was next level not only on the wedding day but previous and after. All the compliments to the chef! I would definitely recommend for a wedding, celebration, party or just to visit Chateau Purcari. Our British guests were impressed by the tour guide they had in English. Delicious and a big variety for breakfast, the most needed this after a big party. The entire location was very tiny and clean, rooms were pristine! They have managed to clean even on the wedding day to have it nice and ready for staying. The combination of a beautiful chateau, with proper wood, natural flowers, birds singing outside, big terrace, lakes, and of course vineyards— all together is just perfect! But once again, this amazing place cannot be maintained without a human touch, so thank you very much for all the staff from Chateau Purcari!

We absolutely love this place and come back every year to enjoy the beautiful nature and the dreamlike atmosphere here. However, because I believe Château Purcari could become pure perfection with just few simple adjustments, I would like to give some constructive suggestions: -FOOD: It would be fantastic if the National menu could be more diverse and reflect the true flavours and colours of the local cuisine. As an example, consider including some traditional fish+mamaliga dishes,( and not only). Fancy dishes certainly have their customers nevertheless, I believe Purcari should excel at authentic, mouth watering dishes simply because with your location and produce, you just have to be THE BEST, because you CAN. - BREAKFAST: especially during summer and autumn months please, please, please bring local fresh fruits ( peaches, sour cherries, apricots, mulberries, raspberries, strawberries) + things like compot, pancakes, pies, and other unique treats to the delight of your guests. I am not saying oranges, muffins or croissants are bad, it is just that Moldovan breakfasts should be part of the unforgettable Chateau Purcari experience through TASTE. STAFF: Every year we meet nice people there, starting from the security guys at the entrance. Human kindness is NATURAL in this place and therefore, please encourage your waiters and receptionists to be themselves and simply be enthusiastic about their job and own impact on the name and reputation of this great place. *This year Alexandra was very nice, helpful and welcoming to us- Thank You! TIPS: The “placinte” and” zeama” are a must. Overall I truly appreciate the journey this place has been through and I think that in such piece of Heaven- only sky is the limit! We wish you good luck, inspiration and enthusiasm! We highly recommend this place to everyone willing to have an unforgettable experience and some fantastic memories to capture ❤️ Thank you Château Purcari, cannot wait to visit you again!
