말지 카 캄라(Malji Ka Kamra)

We stayed two nights. The trips organised were excellent particularly the walk around the havelis. We also did the sunset in the desert but unfortunately it was cloudy but still fun to do. The staff are so friendly. The rooms are adequate. We had a lovely stay.

Very humble and kind staff and extremely hospitable Pleasantly surprised with the overall service Great rooms for such a small town especially the one with balcony and wall painting Food was indeed good and they accommodated all request which includes South Indian food for small kids Being pure vegetarian we could find multiple options everyday since we stayed for 3 nights and had booked all 12 rooms

Delightful place to stay. Staff could not have been more helpful. Food delicious and home made. Breakfast one of the best I have had on my travels in India, including fantastic cappucinos. Beautiful building in a charming town. And a real plus point is their inhouse guide My Lal Singh, who is incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and history and will take you on a personal tour.

Rajesh and his staff did everything possible to make our stay as memorable as it could be. We enjoyed sundowners on a dune in the desert and a breakfast picnic at an ancient water well. After that we went on a game drive to see antelope, deer, camels, falcons and a variety of other wild life. In the afternoon the local guide - Lal Singh (ask him where he lives!) - took us on a walking tour of the largely disused Havelis around the old city of Churu. That evening we ate a delicious meal prepared over open fires at another ancient well site and relaxed with a glass of wine by candle light in the quiet of the desert. And compliments to the chef for the meals he prepared back at the hotel too. A stay at the Haveli will give you an insight into local life and history that would be difficult to experience in any other way; a stay here is highly recommended!

Fantastic personalised service in beautiful hotel. Staff work really hard to make the stay memorable. The hotel is restored 1920s building with some rooms still with their elaborate painted decoration. Hotel organises lots of trips including a safari and dinner in the desert.

This hotel/haveli is a hidden gem. I stayed 2 nights with my 18 yr old daughter. It was fabulous from start to finish. Big rooms, very comfortable beds, DELICIOUS food and the staff were so accommodating - nothing was a problem and we felt like royalty! We did the sunset drink in the desert, morning heritage walk and a magical supper on a reservoir in the desert, all organised by the hotel , which I really recommend. Our guide was passionate about history. He was very interesting, humble and not pushy which was lovely. Churu is not touristy and this Haveli is the real deal. Only thing is it is quite cold in the evenings/night (Jan) so bring some layers and a jumper. It is a heritage Haveli and v comfortable, with tea and coffee in the room but don't expect full on mod cons but this adds to its charm! An absolute must!

What a find. A quite peace of heaven in a bustling town. The welcome we received was fabulous. From the moment we arrive we were treated like a member of the family. Our tour guide was so informative and a pleasure to spend time with. We would highly recommend this heritage hotel.

We had a magical stay in Malji Ka Kamra in October. The rooms were wonderful. The Haveli offers all modern amenities but the renovation keeps the ancient charm with delightful frescoes. The food was delicious and the dinner at Prem Sarovar with candle light will remain a beautiful souvenir. The Havelis visit with Lal Singh, the guide of the hotel allowed us to open the doors of so ***y havelis of Churu ! We’ll come back!

We only visited for a light lunch, but the food was tasty and the staff polite and helpful. The facade of the building is very attractive and the hotel has a pleasant lawn at the front. This is an inexpensive and attractive place to stay in an authentic Shekhawati town.
