Stayed over Friday and Saturday. Small room with two twin beds right on their outside courtyard. Note on window to call for instructions upon arrival.No ventilation except sun roof opening, as windows didn’t open. Got a bit steamy when it was raining and we couldn’t open roof vent. Fan in bathroom didn’t work. Light on bathroom mirror didn’t work. TV has a lot of interference unless you used streaming stations. Comfortable bed, good room cleaning during day, coffee/tea in room. Full English breakfast was excellent. So great location, comfy beds, ok for short time.

We stopped in for some tea but when my husband saw the pastries, we decided to stay for more. I ordered a bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich which came with chutney and was delicious. He had an almond pastry, also delicious...along with a green tea and coffee. The place is quite small and rustic in the nicer way. Do stop in if you are in this charming town.

When we arrive the weather was bitter and we had to stand in a queue to get in the door. We watched as the lady who owned the place worked incredibly hard to try and please everyone and get them seated at a very busy time for them. You could see she was a little stressed but she and her staff coped very well and remained calm and friendly and eventually everyone got in. The food was very tasty and the staff very attentive. The display of cakes was getting a lot of attention and so we added a cake to our brunch and again delicious. Would very much recommend a visit. Thank you for looking after us.

Popped by for lunch without a reservation which wasn't an issue despite it being peak season during peak service! Staff were accomodating. Lovely food and drink. Grab a table in the conservatory if you can! Great ambience. You can probably find a parking space outside on the high street (if you're lucky).

Came for lunch...ordered (from a very promising menu) when we arrived...after 40 minutes with no activity at our table we asked and then learned that they had forgotten to put our food order in. We left, picked up a sandwich and soda at the food coop next door then enjoyed a pheasant picnic on the green

This was a lovely place to stay on a walking holiday. The bedrooms are a bit small, but the shower room was excellent. The breakfast was excellent and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Although we were right on the Main Street the bedroom at the back of the building was quiet and peaceful. A plus point of being so centrally located is that there were plenty of nearby options for eating in the eating.

They say they close at 5:00 but we were here at 4:30 and they were closed. There was people inside so we knocked the door and they opened it and they said we only have one customer we don't want anymore. So please check on phone before going there.

What a delicious breakfast! I had the ham and cheese omelette and it was SO flavorful! Yummy thick pieces of toast and Earl Grey tea too! The staff was friendly and accommodating and the whole place had a lovely old English atmosphere. We’re going back tomorrow!
