When you're the worst reviewed hotel in Chesterfield, there is obviously a problem here! The building is ok, relatively new, stuck like an eyesore in a open field. The problem is the management and female cabal at the front desk. Let me first say I am a top tier Marriott elite traveler at over 75 nights/year AND a Marriott associate. I am getting ready to move to the area and wanted an extended stay type hotel to facilitate it. I reserved the room when I was working out of a different property and began to work at the new local one. Over half way thru my stay, the two women at the front desk had issue with my stay, or should I say the rate I was paying. It took me 4 times in repeated explanation to them what my scenario was. They kept saying, ”you don't work for Marriott...” and I kept replying, ”yes I do, just at a new hotel!” Then repeated demands that I wasn't eligible to stay at the Marriott associate rate because I was at the hotel on business, which is not true or correct. After the dense nature of the women at the front desk seemed to have the narrowest interpretation of what an associate can do and stay at their hotel, one shouted to the other to call the police! Call the police and tell them what? Tell them you have a paying hotel guest who is an associate of Marriott, and he is wanting to stay an 5 more days with an approved document authorizing a Marriott associate rate. You have to be a very nasty, twisted and greedy individual working in the hotel business if you will remove a guest who is staying as an employee on a discounted rate, that wants to move to the area to find housing just to get a higher paying guest to replace him with.
