Tempting for overnight stops to go for a hotel chain so there are no surprises but this hotel confirms the merit of staying in a hotel with character in a peaceful French village. The building around a courtyard garden with an old well has much charm. We enjoyed a cold beer in the evening sun when we arrived after a long drive. A modern extension is very well disguised with a form of ivy. The rooms in this are scrupulously clean, spacious and modern with a large shower. Perhaps the rooms in the original building are more traditional? The breakfast in a room overlooking the courtyard, with a large variety of items including pastries, some cheese and cold meats, was very good. The village restaurant is next door and offers takeaway pizzas 7-9pm. Order early as there can be a wait on busy evenings. Consider arriving at lunchtime as the restaurant seems to be rated and at that time of day offers set menus starting at just over 14 Euros.

After a long drive we loved having a cold beer in the courtyard garden with old well, listening to wood pigeons and church bells. It was lovely to get off the motorway and drive through country roads to reach this tiny village which is a calm rural space offering parking immediately outside the hotel. A modern extension of the hotel is completely disguised by trees and climbing ivy. The rooms and the shower are spacious and scrupulously clean. I wonder if rooms in the main building are more traditional in style. There is an honesty bar for the Leffe beer (2.50 Euros) and red wine (8 Euros or 6 Euros for a half bottle of even higher quality red wine, Medoc.) The village restaurant immediately next door offers takeaway pizza 7-9pm. Order early as there can be a wait on busy nights. Consider arriving for just after midday as the restaurant is rated and at this time of day offers set menus starting at just over 14 Euros.

Hotel was fantastic! We will definatley be back to this accomodation. Perfect location for Le Mans and so quiet. The room was amazing very little thing the toilet flush wasnt completed and there was a wire that was not connected in the old pizza oven. But thats being really picky. Thank you very much and we shall hopefully see you soon

Stayed here on our way to The Vendee. Lovely big family room with modern bathroom, spotlessly clean and obviously well looked after. We had puzzas from the restaurant next door for dinner which we ate in the garden. Breakfast in the morning was brilliant, so many items to choose from. My children can't wait to go back next year.

Lovely hotel. Nice staff. Ecxellent room. Only a pizza place for diner.

This is a very tastefully refurbished old building with charming gardens and lots of style. Fantastic.

Très bon accueil, la propriétaire est très gentille !!! L’hôtel très sympa, très propre est agencé avec beaucoup de goût. La cour intérieure est agréable. Le petit déjeuner et très bien, copieux. Stationnement très facile devant l’hôtel où dans la rue.

Je recommande sans hésitation cet hôtel. Les chambres sont très propre, une hôte à proximité de ses clients. Le petit + ==＞ Être appelé par son nom, ce qui signifie que nous ne sommes pas un nº de réservation…👍👍

Très bon accueil. Chambre nickel. Petit déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix. On recommande.
