Sitting on nearly 3 secluded acres, this retreat feels miles away from civilization, but is actually less than 10 minutes to various restaurants, shops, and activities. Relax on the deck, take in the amazing views, and enjoy visits from local wildlife including elk and wild turkey.The cascading creek running through the property provides the calming sounds of water rippling through rocks and over small waterfalls. Buck Mountain Retreat is perched on the mountainside at 4,000 ft above sea level. 4 sliding doors across the front side of the house provide mountain views from the living area and primary bedroom. Start your day with a beautiful view of Brown Lead Peak from your bed and end your day on the deck enjoying the crisp, clean air and sounds of the creek.2 Bedrooms and 2 full baths are on the main floor along with kitchen, dining and living area. The basement includes a sleeping room, half bath and laundry room. Basement steps are a little steep so please use caution.The rich history of this small mountain town and neighboring Cherokee Indian reservation has been incorporated into the home with paintings, handcrafted sculptures, and various décor from local artists and carvers.The house is fully stocked with games, books, puzzles and everything you need for the perfect mountain getaway. Here's a little sneak peek -- Hiking - several hikes of various difficulty levels and waterfalls within 15 minutes.- Lake Junaluska - 20 minute drive to a beautiful, smaller lake with walking trails, kayak/canoe rentals, fishing and free mini golf, sand volleyball, shuffleboard and more (equipment can be borrowed from our garage).- Winter activities - Just a 5 minute drive to Cataloochee Ski Area and tubing.- The town of Maggie Valley offers something for all ages including restaurants, shops, mini golf, arcades, gem mine, fishing, axe throwing, the Wheels through Time museum and more.- 6 minute drive to Maggie Valley Fairgrounds which offers cars shows, arts and craft fairs, concerts and more.- Blue Ridge Parkway is a 10 minute drive from the house. Spend some time exploring and visiting the various scenic overlooks.- Harrah's Cherokee Casino is a 25 minute drive- Set a tee time for one of the 6 area courses within 25 miles of the house- Take a day trip to Asheville or another local mountain town.Road is privately maintained and not always immediately cleared after snow/ice. Driveway is paved, but steep and we recommend parking at the bottom of the driveway if snow/ice is expected. Kiki’s Cabin is a brand new clean, cozy and modern log cabin located in the heart of Maggie Valley nestled in the quiet and picturesque Crocketts Meadow community, featuring lovely valley views of the surrounding Smoky Mountains in this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin with a bonus large loft area.This charming cabin has a beautiful stone gas fireplace, quartz countertops, a live log beam, and open floor plan.Location is everything, this amenity-filled cabin is just 10-minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, 15-minutes to Cataloochee Ski Area, 25-minutes to Cherokee and Harrah's Casino, and 45-minutes to Asheville. You have skiing, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, shopping, craft and car shows. This is a great jumping off point for your day out and you can still be home for dinner!Rooms:The 1,600 square ft cabin features a great layout with an open kitchen, dining, and living room floor plan providing plenty of space to reconnect and relax. Our 3 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms cabin can sleep up to 6 adults with two king sized beds and 2 adult twin beds all with Casper mattresses. Each room has a Smart TV and large windows for natural light throughout. The main floor bathroom has a spacious walk-in tile shower and double sinks. The upstairs bath has a bathtub/shower combination and plenty of counter space.Our kitchen has all the conveniences of home to make everybody’s time here a breeze. It’s fully equipped with a Keurig coffee / drip coffee maker and all the essentials including an island for easy food prep with two stools for extra seating. We have a dining table that can comfortably sit six. If you just want to relax and stay in the cozy cabin, our living room has a couch with two recliners and one recliner chair where you can have a glass of wine by the gas fireplace with just a push of a button or watch your favorite shows on cable TV (125+ channels). Here, we don't have the rain or snow satellite and internet worries. You can stay connected with reliable 300 Mbps WiFi (!!!!) throughout the entire house. If you need a little get away head up to the large loft area to read a book and enjoy the views. Head outside to the large covered deck area, sit in a rocking chair where you'll want to spend time listening to the birds and taking in the views, have your coffee as you watch the elk stroll through the neighborhood as they often do. There’s also a gas grill on the deck so you can take full advantage of this outdoor space. Plus, you'll have a full sized washer and dryer, which is incredibly convenient for extended stays.We have a motion sensor camera outside on the corner of the exterior deck for security purposes when the cabin is not rented. It will be turned off once you arrive and during your stay.Access/Parking:We want to have our guests have easy access to the Smoky Mountains without the worry of scary mountain drives or getting stuck! No worries here, with paved roads that are plowed in the winter by the city for easy car and motorcycle access year round.
