Et hop, un petit dodo dans une tiny house au beau milieu de la forêt : 10/10 pour le cadre… dommage qu’il n’y ait pas eu de clim, on a un peu fondu toute la nuit !

Lovely place to stay in the Loire. Beautiful secluded old Chateau, very quiet and peaceful but within easy distance by car to visit other Chateau. The owners are very helpful and make the effort to make you feel at home. The rest of the staff were super helpful and friendly. We had a beautifully renovated room - very comfortable and tastefully designed with a stunning view of the grounds and trees outside. The bathroom was massive, modern and spotless. The room had a fridge and a kettle. The restaurant was fabulous and highly recommended. I think there is a bar but we had drinks on the terrace each night listening to the birds. Breakfast is superb - fresh, delicious produce - amazing breads, meat, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, eggs on demand. We had a wonderful stay here and hopefully can return soon!

Warmly recommended and certain come back! Great location in the imense green and quiet park! Amazing for relaxing and walks/ jogging. Very well positioned for visiting the Loire valley castles. Elegant and comfortable rooms, attentive service. We appreciated having bike rentals delivered at the hotel. High standing dinner one night; convenient, very good options for a light dinner at bar when restaurant is not open. Very good wine list.

The experience begins on the approach to the Chateau. It is quite a long driveway but the house is beautiful and the hydrangeas are very impressive. The room was large and modern and had a lovely view over the gardens. The bathroom was also large and very modern. We ate dinner in the restaurant and had a very modern (yes, again) French meal. An interesting selection of dishes and one was able to compose one’s own menu from the available dishes. Chef was doubling up on occasion as appears to be the current theme in all small family businesses. The wine list was reasonable and well priced. I liked the pricing of the menu too. The gardens are extensive and lovely but they will need to up their game with the maintenance of them. The parking was a short walk from the house. The chateau is very conveniently placed for visits to the big houses of The Loire. We will return.

We had booked the Tree Room, The path to get there was lightless and slippery, the railings not solid. Once we entered the room there was a water infiltration under the front door, the lighting broken, the heating provided by a small bathroom radiator (which was falling) so non-existent, the floor of the room very damaged, the bathroom entirely made of wood with mold everywhere, also on the shower curtain. The toilet smelled like sewage (wood impregnated with pee). The railing of the private balcony was not stable and broken (we were more than 5m from the ground). I work in hotel business and it is the first time that i hade to refuse the room… It’s a shame for all serious host, it’s unbelievable to propose something like that, is dangerous for users! Also the price 160€ for night

Visited here in May 2023 as part of a tour to Loire Valley chateaus. I spent four nights at this beautiful 15th century Chateau converted to a B&B. Is located out in the countryside, not very near any town, so there is complete solitude here. This B&B did not have air conditioning and the bathroom only had a tub with nothing to prevent water from going all over the place, so something to be aware of. Good that was not very hot during our stay so no big deal on no AC. The decor is dated, but the bed was comfortable. There is also a large outdoor pool on the grounds though I did not use that. They did have picnic tables outside to relax and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of a busy day touring. We ate two dinners at the Chateau de Razay and they were very good, including a wine tasting with a local sommelier. Breakfast was not much to choose from but enough to get you going for the day, though they would also make scrambled eggs or a muesli type dish if you wanted. Overall comfortable enough and very peaceful setting. Was a good central location for visiting 8-9 Chateaus in the region on our tour.
