Check in for the Cha Cha Rooms is actually at the H2O Hostel, and the rooms are just a few doors down the hostel on the same street. When I arrived, there was some major road construction so cars couldn't go in or out as the road was closed. Not an issue for the rooms itself but just something to note. Fortunately, it wasn't too noisy or bothersome during the day as I walked back & forth from my room to the old town. The location is actually perfect, right next to the Dragon Bridge & a couple mins walk to the funicular that takes you up to Ljubljana Castle. Or instead of taking the funicular, you can easily hike up to the castle from here. Cha Cha Rooms is also just a 5min walk to the Triple Bridge and the center & old town of Ljubljana. And just behind Cha Cha Rooms on the parallel street, is a pedestrian street with a bunch of small restaurants & shops. Also conveniently located just over the river across the bridge is a supermarket. The bus & train stations are also a 10min walk away. So in terms of location, this was perfect! As for the room, I was on the first floor right next to the street so there was no view. The window looked out into the street & all you'll see are people walking so I mostly kept the curtain closed, esp. due to the construction. The bed was comfy & the bathroom was modern & clean. The only downside to the room is that there's no A/C, but at least there's a fan so that helped with the air circulation in the room, keeping it at a comfortable enough temperature. As for the staff...the girl at the reception was super helpful & nice. She even let me print 2 pages for my train tickets. Overall, I had a great stay in Ljubljana at Cha Cha Rooms.

Don’t be conned into paying for the castle view – There ISN'T ONE. We did and our room was below grade (sub-street level) and our view was of the street grate and people's feet going by but NOT the castle...when we complained the answer was that her boss was on vacation, the other rooms were full or she would have moved us to the upper floor (not sure if those rooms would have a castle view). The rooms while clean and modern are only slightly better than a hostel, they are tiny and basic even by European standards. The bed was comfortable, but you need to shuffle sideways to get from the window side to the rest of the room/bathroom. While there appears to be some kind of courtyard in back all the doors were locked so you couldn't get out. The bathroom is very modern but they either need to extend the glass partition or add a shower curtain because turning the shower on full will wet the entire room. IF you choose to stay here best to take a garden view, one room was open and it appeared larger and had the plus of being above grade. The location is very convenient as you are right downtown. There is no AC, but they did provide a fan which in combination with the blackout curtains helped us sleep during a heat wave.

The location is great, at the foot of castle hill and I believe all rooms have a view of the castle. Your right on the river on the edge of old town, and with a five minute walk your right in the center of it. Restaurants, a grocery store, and ATM within a two minute walk. Great Value for the money. The rooms are cozy but very modern. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Kleines, aber feines Einzelzimmer, relativ neu renoviert. Sehr zentral gelegen und doch relativ ruhig. Mit Klimaanlage, da es im Sommer sehr heiss wird. Toll, da auch mit Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher. Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.

Ottimo x un soggiorno di pochi giorni. Eravamo un gruppo di amici e tutti soddisfatti. Stanze nuove, belle un po’ piccole, la pulizia sia della stanza che del bagno ottima. Letto comodo ma non i cuscini. Ottima pure la posizione si trova proprio davanti al ponte dei draghi. A 5 minuti comodo parcheggio
