Insulae Resort

I definitely recommend. We had a wonderful stay. Staff was friendly and spoke sufficient English. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, as were the views. Rooms were small and just ok- typical for Europe- but the bed was comfortable and everything was clean and modern with a very nice terrace. It is a very short drive to Cefalu but they have a shuttle until early evening.

The staff were always friendly, yet always professional. Beautiful hotel and environment. The food in the restaurant was incredibly good, with excellent service. Somewhere to eat in the evening with a more relaxed atmosphere would have been nice. Walking into Cefalu isn't such an issue. Parts of the road arent paved, parts are. Just be careful and you can cut down a side street to take you onto the beach road. Takes about 40minutes walking Would I go back. Definitely !!

Dinner at Insulae is a wonderful experience with lots of mouthwatering surprises! Our a la carte food and drinks were presented beautifully by charming staff with a story behind every meal. We stayed at a villa opposite and they welcomed us (5 of us!) more than once with a smile, great service and excellent food. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have recently returned from a week stay at Insulae resort. We enjoyed a very relaxing break at this intimate hotel. The hotel is small contemporary and beautifully positioned on a hill near to the sea. The sunsets are incredible!! The nearby beach is small and rocky with a bit of sand. There are no local amenities within a safe walking distance. The town of Cefalù can only be reached by car as the roads have no pavements which makes walking dangerous. The hotel does provide a free shuttle service into Cefalù during the day and the last trip in is at 6.30. This is perfect and saves a lot of money in taxis if you have chosen not to hire a car. Taxis from Cefalù are approximately 15 euros before midnight, some taxis will try for more so be careful not to overpay!!! There is quite a small team providing an excellent service at the hotel. The bar and restaurant staff are very attentive and work incredibly hard to provide an exemplary service. Particular credit should go to Allesandro and Gianpiero who would single handedly make drinks and provide lunch service to all of the residents, always with a big friendly smile and a joke here and there. Breakfast was excellent buffet style, with the option to order eggs and pancakes. We enjoyed 2 evening meals at the hotel which were stunning !!! The bar food at lunchtime was good, however a little overpriced. Cocktails were excellent too! We would definitely go back to the hotel if we were to visit Cefalù again.

The hotel was amazing! The staff were all exceptional, both salvos, Julia, jean pierre and every other that I sadly cannot remember their names! They made our daughter feel so special, the service was second to none! The accommodation was brilliant, and facilities incredible. The shuttle into cefalu was a great perk and one we didn’t expect! It saved us 20 euros each way! The food was amazing, although for our 6 year old a touch fancy, (not a critique at all, but for sienna was a little tricky to find food she liked) I am sure if I asked the team would have accommodated but we did not want to put them out and it was nice to head into cefalu for food. Wonderful breakfast, great range and again, always! Amazing service xxx (the cocktails were to die for!! Enjoy the pictures!)

Beware, there is reason for the no refund policy! This property is not as presented . no privacy/backs up to railroad track.... The resort beach access is located at the bottom of someone's home?? Don't bother !
