Absolutely beautiful spot! Accommodation was first class! The bedding, outdoor shower, salt water pool, food, cocktails, scenery, such beautiful flowers everywhere! Five star! Staff went above and beyond! We were totally pampered! I can’t wait to go back!

Catalina's Hideaway is an absolute gem! The friendliness of the staff and owners is unmatched, making us feel like part of the family. The food and drinks were fantastic, with fresh ingredients and creative cocktails. Our newly built room was immaculate, with incredible attention to detail. Highly recommended!

I was in the Arbolita, which is an adorable ground level cabin with a wonderful private balcony for relaxing in the hammock and enjoying nature. Relaxing in the hammock during a rain shower was magical. Ceiling fans and AC made the room very comfortable and In- room coffee and fridge was appreciated. The property is well maintained and beautifully landscaped! A morning walk on the private beach is awesome, as is enjoying the restaurant to the sounds of the ocean. Meals, drinks and service were good. One woman in particular kindly assisted with my SIM card and made great recommendations for my next stop. Paid shuttle to town upon request. I had no spiders or mosquitos in the room which is very well screened. There is, however, a known issue with small bugs that seem to magically appear and inundate the rooms for a few hours at night, but they are harmless and easily shake off the pillows and sheets. Note that the final road going in is quite bumpy and they will meet your shuttle if the driver won't make the trip. The website for this place is brilliant. This is a beautiful place that is probably even better during high season.

Catalina's Hideaway was an unreal experience! Beautiful location, delicious food and drinks, great accommodations, and amazing hosts! Very friendly and cool vibe. Excellent fishing, snorkelling, and surfing opportunities. The real deal in Panama... we can't stop talking about it! Can't wait to go back!

Lovely boutique hotel/cabins. The attention to detail and comfort was perfect (GREAT bed!) Charming outdoor shower. Service was excellent, food fresh and delicious, cocktails strong! The location is on a quiet Pacific bay--dark sand, somewhat muddy beach. Very nice pool area, yoga classes daily. Our trip was at the beginning of the rainy season, so it was a bit buggy. Take your bug spray! The last 7 km of the road in are very rough--take it slow. It's worth the ride!

Had a lovely time at this fascinating place. The accommodations and service cannot be faulted. The food was good, nice variety. We went at the start of the rainy season so it was a bit buggy, but spray does the trick. I think Ryan and Anthea have created a very special place here. We really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Anthea and her staff are authentic, grounded, committed, joyful professionals. If you’re ready for a little adventure travel to a spectacular retreat book right now! Don’t hesitate. The accommodations, the outstanding food, the service, the vibe, the close proximity to Coiba National Park…… I could go on! It’s simply amazing!!

We stayed for 2 nights here. This is simply one of the most amazing places we've stayed. Close to the beach, mangroves out our back patio, little bit of everything. Outdoor showers we sooo sexy! Ryan and Anthea have done an amazing job. Definitely five stars in our books.
