This is the best place we’ve stayed in Italy. Martina should get an award for her hospitality and charm! She’s AMAZING! The room is right in the middle of all the action. It is bright, clean and comfortable! Breakfast is perfect. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, classy and convenient. We enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated and spacious room. Easy to come and go and walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Friendly staff that went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

This is an excellent small boutique hotel within easy walking distance of most of the major attractions in Catania. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is good, and, most importantly, the host Martina is very attentive and helpful. She went out her way to help us in numerous ways during our stay. Excellent restaurant - Al Vicolo - just behind the hotel.

What a beautiful place! Martina was a most gracious host attending to our needs and providing quite the breakfast each morning! Would definitely return if we are in Catania again.

This is definitely a diamond in the rough. Doesn’t look like much once you arrive but once your inside you will see why I gave a 5 star review. It really is walking distance to main center and restaurants. Staff is very nice. Room was perfect. We got a suite to accommodate 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Thank you for having us!

We loved our stay at Anfitheatro! Martina was so kind and helpful! She constantly went above and beyond to help us in our travels. She even helped us organize a trip to Mt. Etna when we asked about things to do. We loved our stay and especially our very kind hostess!

We absolutely loved the property and our room. The attention to detail by the owners is unparalleled. The room was well appointed and finished with an amazing bathroom and two lovely little balconies overlooking the piazza below that literally contains Ancient Greek ruins. The included breakfast was lovely and the manager, Martina, is the absolute best! I honestly can’t imagine a better host. She was incredibly helpful our entire stay with offering suggestions, helping book reservations, preparing our daily breakfast and coffee, and she even got my wife a hair straightener after we had mentioned we had some issues with our plug converters. The location of this property is also perfect, right in the heart of the city close to most of the attractions and good restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Catania!

Lets start with the most important asset of Anfiteatro and that is the manager Martina. This little fireball of energy is fabulous and will assist you in any capacity. Directions, restaurants, tours, insider info, and what to avoid. All this and her breakfasts and Sicilian humor thrown in for free. She is just the best. The facility is great with all modern amenities and a really cool design. The location is perfect with a little street noise thrown in for free. Hey, it's Catania..... We had the luxury suite with a little balcony and it was great. The AC works perfectly and you will need it. All in all just a enjoyable place to stay. Give Martina a hug for us. This, our second stay, was as good as the first time. The most marvelous welcome from the host, Martina, and as usual, a beautiful room to rest in after a long two weeks visiting Sicily. Everything, and I mean everything, has been planned to make a stay here memorable. After staying around the island we appreciated the availability of charging locations all throughout the suite. The balcony, room size, storage options, breakfast, and the host made the visit. If you want a special stay in a Sicilian city center, you should book here. It only has 3 suites, all decorated differently, so planning ahead is essential.
