Fig Cafe and Accommodation

This is a gem. Clever dining options, great ambience and the nicest staff. The salad offering each day are just superb. I limited myself to two and the were amazing, simple food done well. The broader menu has something for everyone. I cannot wait to come back. Worth the trip!

This was to a special occasion lunch for my wife’s birthday, so we booked in advance and arrived on time…,12.30 pm and were shown to a minuscule round table and two very rickety stools. As I am disabled I suggested to the waiter who showed us the table that both myself and my wife felt unsafe. He managed to provide me with a proper chair, but not my wife. All the time acting superciliously and almost dismissing us because we were old! He eventually found us a decent table and two chairs, although it was opposite the entrance, and every time some entered or left it was like being buffered by the icy north wind. The food was terrific. The ambience (apart from the icy wind when ppl came of left) was excellent. But that arrogant waiter! He needs a lesson in manners, how to greet clients, and how to smile. He ruined what could have been a wonderful day.
