Mossburn Railway Hotel

Nice welcome and very clean room, slight downside was that bed was a bit soft so that rolling over in the night felt like you were on a water bed!. We had to curtail our stay because of bad weather on West coast so we had to cancel 2nd night, that was no problem, parking was easy and breakfast was good. We booked for dinner and were surprised at how busy the restaurant was, food was really good.

We booked in to stay straight after a long journey from UK. It was an ideal place to chill and get over the jet-lag. Comfortable room. We were sharing bathroom facilities which was absolutely fine as there are several showers and toilets so no waiting. The convivial bar and restaurant areas were both great. A far more wide-ranging menu than we expected. Good food choices and lovely Monteith's cider Very helpful and friendly staff. Really good to have the breakfast area with hot beverages, toast and cereals - ideal. Such a quiet location and the respectful, quiet and considerate behaviour of our fellow guests made for a restful and very enjoyable stay. Ideal location for accessing the Round The Mountains cycle trail, Lumsden, Five Rivers etc. Thoroughly recommended, couldn't fault it
