The Manor House Hotel and Golf Club

Fantastic dining experience enjoyed in the Michelin starred Bybrook Restaurant last night! Great location, great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Will certainly be enjoying their fine cuisine again. Staff are attentive (not intrusive), knowledgable and obviously enjoy their role. The hotel and restaurant are set in magnificent English countryside. A truly fantastic dining experience!

Probably one of the most photographed Manor House and rightly so. From the moment when you drive up to this place it all feels so magical. It quickly transports you back to a time and imagining what it must have been like reaching to this place. We decided to book a stay over the bank holiday weekend on a whim after visiting the area, and the dedicated Guest Services team, with a particular huge SHOUT OUT GOING TO LAURA she really made sure that our stay is memorable, not least for the upgrade thank you very much, but all in all from the booking to arrival everything was just wonderful and perfect. I don't think it could have been any better even if we/they tried hard enough. For us this resembled a perfect weekend getaway from the stresses of London and one that we would book again in a heartbeat. We opted for the Dine & Stay, and we are so glad that we did. The Michelin Dining experience under the marvellous chef was exceptional. The food and the flavours are a burst of joy in your mouth with every mouthful. An experience not to be missed. Having eated Michelin food in France on many occassions, I can safely say with confidence that this is en par and up there with similar experiences. Given the time of year, it was also magical with the gorgeous views surrounding the manor house. The bedrooms are a place that transports you and everything about it is exceptional. One only wishes to stay there permanently. The breakfasts are exceptional and it is a great way to start the day whether going for a walk around the forests or elsewhere. Overall, a wonderful wonderful stay and we are already looking forward to when we will be back. We really like to thank hugely our guest services member Laura for ensuring that our stay is one to remember. Kudos and well done. Of course, the rest of the teams in the hotel, from the cocktail bar, to the restaurant, and the kitchen have all played a part in ensuring a memorable stay.

Oh my gosh what an experience- a true home from home. The staff are so attentive and welcoming. The rooms are amazing - each individually styled with the most wonderful bathrooms. We visited for my daughter’s wedding and the whole 3 days were amazing, the food excellent and the grounds wonderful. We really couldn’t fault the staff, grounds and food. Very highly recommended. My Dad purchased afternoon tea for two as part of my Christmas presents & I was looking forward to attending with my niece for a lovely afternoon of complete decadence! We had a lovely stroll around Castle Combe first & were more than ready for our tea by the time we arrived at the hotel. We were greeted at the door with a lovely, warm welcome & shown to a beautiful room filled with summer sunshine overlooking the manicured lawns. Our waiter explained the afternoon tea options, checked back with us to ensure everything was ok & again to see if anything else was required. Afternoon tea was excellent & we left there very pleasantly but not uncomfortably full. It was the perfect time to stroll around the grounds on both the upper & lower levels. We were given assurance that there was no hurry to leave & just to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. What I liked most about the Manor is the feeling of quiet, sumptuous luxury but, all of the staff we interacted with made it feel relaxed & informal from Reception, to our waiters and also the bar staff. We had a wonderful day & it felt like a really lovely treat, especially for my niece who is in her third trimester. I will definitely be back with my Dad to show him around & join you for lunch or dinner next time. Thank you everyone!

“The hotel was spectacular. The rooms large, beautifully decorated, and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Being fortunate to travel often to many wonderful locations, this one has to be at the top of our list. Everything about it was spectacular and it is amazing when you receive such over the top service and how that affects your experience. Everyone was wonderful and extremely accommodating. Alex and Piero in the lounge were exceptional and anything you asked for or needed no matter what time, was possible. And they were very friendly and so fun to be around. Enjoyed our evenings in the lounge very much. If you visit, don’t forget to ask Daniel, who is in the breakfast area to sing a little tune for you or watch him sing along with the music. He was very happy and it just set our morning in a good mood. The grounds of The Manor house are breathtaking as is the village attached. I highly, highly recommend this property. We will be back! Beautiful hotel in a stunning setting, extremely attentive staff. The standard of accommodation is excellent and the hotel has a charm that takes you back to quintessential England . The grounds are beautiful and lots of lovely walks. The food in the Manor restaurant was of a very high standard and over looked by the lovely Amy and her team who catered for our every need. The Time Bar is an excellent place to unwind by the fire with the very knowledgeable Alex and Piero behind the bar who can make any cocktail you desire. All in all a fabulous place to stay.
