From down what appears to be the off beaten track, wondering if the sat nav has fooled you again, however in the hills of Tuscany, you arrive upon a set of gates with a discreet intercom. Opening up, you then continue down the weaving drive lined with olive trees and those famous pointy trees until the hotel comes into view. Pulling up on the drive, you’re instantly welcomed by your host and helpers to unload and park your car in their underground garage. And there the experience continues! I’m going to leave it there, as I wouldn’t want to spoil your own adventure, just to say… this is absolutely the place to properly experience all that Tuscany offers in style.

My husband and I had the best honeymoon at this resort! It was so clean, luxurious, & the food was amazing! The views are breathtaking, location is wonderful, & the staff was so friendly & helpful! They had onsite activities, a winery, gorgeous pool and spa. We loved staying at the club house! We purchased the 4 senses package and were able to get an upgrade on our room as there was availability and we really appreciated that! This hotel was nothing short of magical and we will never forget how special this place was! We can not wait to come back one day! Of all 6 resorts we stayed at between Greece and Italy on our honeymoon this one by far exceeded our expectations and was our favorite stay! Thank you again so much!

Thus place is absolutely beautiful. The staff is great and very attentive. The spa is new and the trea**ents were great. If your going to chianti you must consider this hotel in your travels. A must. We are at the restaurant at the Club and the food was excellent. Service is great.

There’s a drive from the gate to the hotel and the entire property is breathtaking! The service from the moment we arrived was top notch. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, with great amenities. They provided us with a complementary bottle of wine from their vineyard which was lovely. There’s a pool, sauna and spa services, which we unfortunately didn’t have a chance to use. We ate at the Colonel on the premises and it was outstanding. The list goes on. If you’re looking for luxury accommodations in this region, this place is the best.

Every detail was impeccable from the moment my husband and I arrived during our honeymoon. From the hidden paths lined with cypress trees, olive trees and the smell of rosemary, to the high quality detail of every room and building. We had the pleasure of eating at all three on-site restaurants, and also enjoyed lunches by the pool. All of our meals were phenomenal and the service even more impressive. Although it is not customary, I do wish we had thought to being more cash/euros to tip as the staff works very hard to ensure your every need and desire is met with genuine kindness and speed. Not to mention the views are breathtaking and was everything I imagined Tuscany to look and feel like - and more! We also had the pleasure of taking a tour at their sister property, the Vallepicciola Winery, where we took a Jeep tour through the vineyards, did a barrel tasting, and enjoyed a thorough and educational wine and food tasting afterward. The spa is also fantastic, and I enjoyed the best facial I have ever had. We will absolutely be back to Le Fontanelle, and will be recommending the resort to everyone we know!

Superb location and amazing service. Tuscany always a magical place. La Fontanelle's location can't be more perfect to enjoy strolling their own olive garden. The outdoor dinner restaurant was simply amazing. Will defintely come again!!

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The views are stunning and the grounds are gorgeous. But, the best thing about this hotel is the staff! They are friendly, helpful and always willing to help with any request. For example, we went to the pool early one morning before the pool bar was open. We asked one of the staff when the bar opened so we could get a drink and he said it was open whenever we needed it and proceeded to open the bar and serve us drinks. Would give this place 10 stars if I could! From Los Angeles and will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This place is beautiful!!!! Very comfortable rooms, great food and of course great wine. We stayed for 3 days at the end of their season and were still treated as if they were full and boasting with energy.
