TOBAGO Have spent 5 nights at this otherwise good hotel with friendly staff. Last day I saw that they have turtles in a very small pool/yard under the stairs to the 1st floor. This is directly against good animal ethics and rhymes very badly with the protection of turtles on the island in general. I will contact our travelagency and hopefully help to stop this!

Always a relaxing, beautiful stay at the NBR in Castara. This was our fourth stay since 2017 and we are already thinking about our next one in 2026. We miss Ancle and dearly hope his successors will keep the place going as well as it has so far. We always come in the off-season, so dining options can be limited around this quiet fishing village, but somehow we always come across a cafe willing to cook for us or a fisherman's pal who can expertly grill some fish and breadfruit on the spur of the moment. Leave your obsessions behind and relax, and Castara and the NBR will provide the beauty and relaxation you seek.

This hotel have 6-7 turtles in a small dark container with a small amount of water and some dirty rocks. This is not OK! You can se beautiful turtles every where on this island. So why will you keep these poor animals in a small prison making their life a living hell. The goldfishes doesn’t have a great life either. Unfortunately this ruined an otherwise really nice stay with friendly and helpful staff. I will not return to this hotel, nor will my friends or anybody who appreciate wild life and nature. Nor those who are against animal cruelty!!! Not before the turtles are brought back to their natural habitat or to a place with suitable conditions. Please take actions and give these turtle their life back.

We just spent two wonderful weeks at the naturalist!2 adults and 2 children under 6. Our room was small but had everything we needed. It was cleaned daily and had a great little kitchen. We cooked all our meals except breakfast either in the kitchen or on the grill outside. We chose to bring and eat our meals in the common area. The included breakfast every morning was a real treat! We were steps from the beach. We will be back for sure!

Review of Hotel X:My experience at Hotel X was unfortunately far from satisfactory. We had booked a room with a sea view and received confirmation of our booking, but upon arrival at the hotel, we were assigned a room overlooking the garden instead. The staff claimed that this was the only available room for the price range we had paid for.What exacerbated our experience was primarily the unfriendly attitude of the staff throughout our stay. We did not feel welcomed or well taken care of. Additionally, the cleaning staff missed cleaning our room several times during our stay, making our experience even more inconvenient.In summary, despite having expectations based on the confirmed booking of a room with a sea view, we were disappointed not to receive it and by the unfriendly service from the staff. I would not recommend Hotel to other travelers.

Always a special visit when we come here. Ancle is such a great host, always there if you need him. The views of this beautiful little village are amazing. I love cooking meals in my room while gazing at the ocean n sand right at my back door. My little piece of paradise
