Sandbar Cottage - Close to downtown Morehead City

This house was built by my grandfather around 1940. It has been passed down through the generations and there is lots of family history between it's walls. The Sandbar is located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood within walking/biking distance to downtown Morehead where beautiful boats are docked and great restaurants, bars and shops await you. There also is a new playground with splash pad, tennis courts and pickleball courts available just blocks from the house. It is only a short walk down the alley to the Bogue Sound where you can sit and relax on the beach and watch the boats go by and the sun set. The Atlantic ocean is a short 2 1/2 mile drive across the bridge to Atlantic Beach. Just east of Morehead is beautiful Beaufort, a must see while you are in the area, which is the third oldest town in North Carolina. The house has two separate apartments. The downstairs is for our guests and the upstairs is my personal apartment. Everyone has their own private entrance. You will find the newly remodeled kitchen and dining room ideal for cooking and entertaining your family and friends. The space includes a bright sunroom and outdoor deck for grilling out and relaxing. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom off of the sunporch for your use. There is also an outside shower with hot and cold running water for your convenience to rinse off or shower as you come in from the beach.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:No smoking/vaping inside.
