Doc and Sandra have created an oasis on Cape Foulwind. The contemporary construction is designed with such thoughtful detail. The views are stunning. Furniture is positioned for viewing the sea from both inside to outside. Breakfast on the deck with espresso drinks…simply amazing. The capper is your two wonderful hosts! We booked 5 nights for next year!

Beautiful well thought out space. Can’t say enough about our suit and the owners. The location is right on the water with easy walking access to the beach and hiking trails. Our hosts Sandra and Doc were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The suit was like new fitted with high end modern appointments. The breakfast that they provided was just what we needed. Had we known how nice this place was we would have scheduled this in our plans for a few more days.

We booked at short notice for just one night but spontaneously prolonged. That says all. Sandra and Doc are wonderful hosts and the rooms (we had Villa Nr. 2) are as new and design with so much style and attention to detail! Very clean. Amazing! And of course the view is hard to beat. Also the breakfast was excellent and, like everything, very personal. Worth every penny. The hosts make you feel like part of their family. Thank you!

This was undoubtedly the highlight of our entire NZ trip. These cabins take quality and luxury to a whole new level, taking advantage of a truly amazing location on the cape. The view is unparalleled, no matter the weather - we experienced massive storms, and gentle sunlit evenings and enjoyed every moment. Doc and Sandra were brilliant hosts, and more importantly made the best coffee we tasted in the entire country. Breakfasts were excellent, but the fittings in the units were what really showed the effort they have put into making sure staying at the Bay House is an unforgettable experience.

The sound, smell and feel of an ocean breeze is just a matter of opening the sliding doors. The beautiful, panoramic view is available from every part of the bungalow, (well, apart from the bathroom, but it has a pretty cool skylight) The accommodation is modern, well appointed and has cooking facilities. Visiting a seal colony is just a stroll along the beach. The hosts Sandra and Doc are just lovely people, and being local they can offer great tips on local attractions, shopping and places to eat. Enjoying a breakfast in their dinning area each morning is the perfect way to start the day. This was our first visit, but I know we'll be visiting again.

I had visions of being in a cabin with wild windy weather and was thinking why did I book this again. This place is fantastic. Great location, great views, fantastic suites and great friendly people. Continental breakfast was lovely. Didn’t see any penguins but heard a few in the nesting boxes. Wish we could of stayed longer.
