Bed & Breakfast on Broadway

The Inspiration Suite on the top floor was beautiful. Plenty of room, comfortable sleeping, very cool layout. Note if you have mobility issues, access to the suite is stairs only. Melissa was a great host, speaking to us during breakfast long enough for us to make conversation, get information on the local area, but not feel like we were being watched over. Location is very close to the downtown area, making walking very easy to restaurants, bars, coffee, shops, etc. Secret tip: Ask if you can meet Luna. She's the sweetest fur baby you'll come across in your travels!

My teen daughter, mother, and I stayed in the Inspiration Suite over a busy May weekend and COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE PLEASED with our booking. Every aspect of this property is tidy and thoughtfully appointed, from the room, to the gardens, to the common areas of the home. We discovered another delightful detail each day and still reminisce about how much we enjoyed our time in Decorah. The handmade (organic, locally sourced) breakfast items and timely, detailed communications with our hosts were especially on-point -- a real treat in the commodified/digital age of travel. If you're looking for centrally located lodging of GREAT VALUE in Decorah, please give this property a long look. You will not be disappointed.

This B&B is in remarkable condition. The woodwork & detail are wonderful inside & out. The location is very good, easy walk to shopping, restaurants, & museum. The freshly made breakfast was a great start to our days. Free on street parking in quiet neighborhood. The front porch as outdoor seating available. Walking through the neighborhood, you will encounter people on their porches enjoying the outdoors & welcoming you to the area with a wave & a hello.

Love this property and the lovely owners. The home is beautiful with the perfect set up for a B&B. The main floor has an open space with a piano and sitting room to use. Upstairs are completely seperate rooms each with a locking door and own bathroom. We felt very comfortable, there was very little noise and the temp was just right. The bedding was so soft and comfortable. Highly recommend!

The home is appointed well with lovely antiques. The beds were not made nor the bathrooms refreshed. Bring your own shower gel and hair products. The breakfast was fair. Food allergies were not taken into consideration. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately the owners didn’t say hello to the guests

1. Visit Decorah, Iowa - it's better than any website sells it. 2. Stay at this bed and breakfast. The hosts are very nice, but they give you your privacy. Before visiting here, I will admit that we didn't do much research. We Googled it, found it charming, and decided we needed a reading nook (two avid readers). We were delighted when we got there, and we had a whole floor of the house to ourselves. There are quite a few stairs if that is a concern for you. The room is HUGE with a great use of space. There is a kitchen area with a table, a bathroom, a bath tub, a living room, a reading nook, and a sleeping area. We weren't super excited about the rain and thunderstorms until they lighted up the evening sky; it was a spectacle! We also loved the front porch area which has comfy chairs and a great view of several churches. The hosts were overly accommodating with breakfast, and they even helped us out when we had a bit of a rental car crisis. This place is so amazing that I can't wait to go back and take my daughter next time.
