Nestled in the hills of Upstate New York I was privileged enough to stay in this elegant and classy Chalet. Greeted by a very friendly couple who owns it, I stayed for three nights and found it to be very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding. The room was well appointed and very comfortable for all my needs. I would highly recommend this place and give it an A++

This was our 2nd stay here and is was COMPLETELY different than the 1st. To begin, there are new owners. I wish we knew that prior to booking. This stay felt very impersonal. The best asset of the Chalet is Dan O'brien, the chef. He is an Iron Chef. The quiche was excellent. He was friendly and personable. There were a few things that didn't operate in the room. The towel warmer, we had difficulty with getting the TV to operate, and there were no robes, which is usually standard with all SELECT REGISTERIES and no creamers for coffee in the room. They new people have had this place for 2 years and have let things slide a bit. Also, the rates were higher .

The location was as we remembered it, really lovely. However it is quite evident that the Chalet has changed hands. The food while good was not what we expected. The young man who welcomed us was very nice and accommodating. But we got no instruction on how to use the heater or fireplace in our room, when we left for the day the bed was not made and trash not taken from the room. We left something behind by accident and we cannot get anyone to contact us to recover it. We loved Patty and Margaret, the previous owners, but those days are gone…too bad.

We had a fantastic visit to Canandaigua! If you want to relax & be pampered, the Chalet is the place to go! It is warm, cozy & beautifully decorated for Christmas. The attention to our every need by both owner Mike, & Innkeeper “He He” was definitely 5 star! The presentation & quality of food was beyond our expectations. Breakfast was so special & the evening desserts were yummy!! We loved visiting some special spots while in the Finger Lakes including Muranda Cheese Company, Glenora Winery & and neat little spot with outstanding food in Naples, Old School Cafe. A memorable birthday trip for my hubby. Great people, great place!

This was our first B&B experience and what an experience it was. This is a gem of a place for those looking a for quiet restful break away from a busy day to day life style. The place is beautiful, comfortable, and highly enjoyable. A well appointed bedroom is complemented with a spacious bathroom that has a generously sized bath tub and a walk-in shower. Taking a soaking bath after going on a wine tasting tour at the finger lakes was quite relaxing. As good as the place is what made our experience even better was the people. From the owner, Mike, who went out of his way to get us flowers despite the rather late timing of my request to the amazing daily breakfast we were served by the kind and fascinating inn-keeper Ge—Ge the treatment we received was better than we could have hoped for. We just loved our stay. We will definitely go back.

I can't think of anything we didn't enjoy. The host was amazing and definitely introduced us to some interesting breakfast choices. Very rustic style room with an amazing bathroom. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit as well! I look forward to coming back!!
