Retiro Atlântico

Retiro Atlantico truly is a magical place to spend a holiday. You'll stay in a beautiful yurt, decorated with lovely furniture. I found staying in a yurt a very unique experience and loved the fact we had a separate, private bathroom building with an excellent shower and lots of space. The yurt did not have airco, but there was a fan available to cool down the place, although it stayed quite warm during the night. The bed was big and comfortable with two pairs of cushions. It was a bit of a hassle to reach the yurt with our suitecases though. We had to park our car in the parking space near the breakfast location and than climb a quite steep and dusty hill. Luckily the view on the surroundings made the climb worthwhile. It really was a pleasure staying on the beautiful farm grounds surround by lots of greenery and a splendid view on Mount Pico. Our host was very friendly and welcoming and provided us with all the information needed. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of fresh, home grown and home made products, presented in a lovely way. Loved the freshly baked bread and the very tasty fruit.

From amazing views on mt Pico to the comfy bed and shower, our stay was nothing short of amazing. A fresh and delicious local breakfast to top it off. Thanks for a great time and your kindness to hand deliver my forgotten ereader to the airport!

Wauw dit is nou eens accommodatie die waren maken waar ze voor staan! De Yurt was geweldig! Zeker in oktober als het niet te warm is. Het bed sliep heerlijk en de stilte, heerlijk, alleen de vogeltjes en de bijen kan je horen. Het uitzicht op Pico was prachtig! De buitenkeuken super, lekker een keer niet uit eten en je eigen pasta maken. En dan het ontbijt!!! Meer dan geweldig al het fruit uit eigen tuin, heel exotisch! De yoghurt, bananenbrood en her verse passievrucht sap, top! We hebben ook nog een yoga les genomen van Natascha, dit deed ze erg goed en wij zijn geen Yogi’s. Hugo heeft ons naar de wandeling gebracht en onderweg veel info gegeven, top! Bedankt lieve mensen! We hebben 2 kleine dingen, ‘s avonds moesten we onze telefoon lamp aandoen want het was heel erg donker op het terrein en de lampjes op de grond gingen pas aan als we er al waren. En wij vonden 1 x per 3 dagen schone handdoeken veel te weinig en geen schoonmaak van de kamer en badkamer in deze 3 dagen maar dat is persoonlijk. Verder geweldig gehad !

Zeer uitzonderlijk gelegen met zicht op de Pico. Ontvangst door Hugo en Natacha uiterst vriendelijk, aangenaam en boeiend. Logeren voor de eerste keer in YOURTS, een aparte romantische ervaring. Zeer ruime buitenkeuken voor de gasten met alle voorzieningen. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid, zeer vers en vol vitamines; Aparte tuin met ervaren onderlegde tuinman, Hugo. Natacha is een dame met brede , poëtische kijk op de wereld, leuke gesprekken!!
