Tongatok Cliff Resort

I rented four rooms for five days. The resort is about 10 km away from Mambajao. It is in a quiet part of the island. The resort is right by the cliff and there are stairs which wind down to the water. The view during sunrise and sunset are spectacular. The hosts are very accommodating and flexible. They are always around to give recommendations and to answer any questions. For example, I tweaked my reservation because of changes in travel plans and the hosts obliged. No issues raised. The rooms are very clean and well appointed, the ground well manicured, and the staff always pleasant and ready to assist. If you want to have a quiet and relaxing base to explore Camiguin, I highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay at Tongatok. The view from our room was amazing and the staff were all super kind and helpful. When my partner was not feeling well, one of their security workers went out late at night to look for yogurt. While he was unsuccessful due to the late time, the owners had some and gave it to us. The food was very good and as we were leaving we met the owner (Frank) who was also super kind and knowledgeable about the Philippines. We will most definitely stay here on our next trip to Camiguin.

Great views and access to water. Staff are wonderful Friendly owner. Large rooms and very clean. Good food. 20 minutes from airport and other areas of interest are fairly close

A bit far from the town so you need to rent a car or bike

We stayed at Tongatok Cliff Resort for one week. We opted for a sea view villa and it was a good decision. The resort has one of the most beautiful views I have ever experienced. They take a good care of the surroundings of the resort. The stairway leading to the sea speak volumes as to how much effort they put into this property. I particularly like this location of Camiguin as it is close to lots of beautiful spots and it is set at a very peaceful location. They provide a free shuttle service to the airport which is a big advantage considering the transport options on this island. Another big advantage is a free laundry service, which really took me by surprise. They do cleaning every day without requesting to do so; moreover, they did it at times while we were not present. The owner is friendly and willing to help or give advice if needed. The only thing I was missing in the villa was utensils (glasses, plates). If given a chance to return, I will surely opt for this resort.

Best sunsets on the island. A great value for your money. The unit was clean and came with a kitchen sink, large fridge and kettle. The bathroom was basic but clean and had hot water. Bedroom had a TV but we never turned it on, only gripe in room was mattresses were the 5-6in dense foam, very common in the Philippines but way to firm for my wife’s liking. The grounds were well cared for and the view is perfect for sunsets. Like most resorts the star of the show are the employees. Fabulous and friendly. The restaurant is pretty limited in selection but everything we had was delicious.
