Cabot Cala Ferrera is not a big hotel, there is one dining room, one main area for entertainment, the hotel is a bit retro with actual keys to lock guest rooms. It is not especially posh, but it is located on a jaw droppingly beautiful cove. I understand that the hotel has just been taken over. The staff were really helpful and we enjoyed the meals. There was plenty of choice including some traditional Spanish dishes. The hotel employed an entertainer, she was brilliant. In the morning Yoga was offered, during the day, I saw her painting with the children. Another time playing a game with adults. In the early evening she had the children disco dancing like they were at a family wedding! This little hotel made everyone feel comfortable and included. The staff were so lovely and to me this is what matters and that is why I have awarded the hotel 5 stars. Also important, it was nice and clean and great value for money!

Fantastic holiday there. Apparently recently under new management. A small hotel, friendly helpful staff, responsive to our requests in advance which was reassuring as one of our group had a little difficulty with mobility. Sara, kids activities co-ordinator seemed to live there and was full of energy engaging with the kids. The kids adored her! Simone and her colleagues on reception were highly efficient and helpful, Maria in the pool bar/snack bar was so friendly and helpful, the restaurant staff were happy in their work and worked so hard in keeping the tables organised and welcoming guests. Outstanding food in variety (loved the soups1) and quality. Yes the bedrooms could do with a make-over but they were so clean, the view of the bay was breathtaking and the rest of the hotel was excellent so it doesn't really matter. Would return there in the blink of an eye. Thank you so much.

Would I stay again? Yes First impression of the hotel is good, you get used to the 1950’s lifts. There are two lift and you don’t have to wait forever for them to arrive. Tourism protests did not affect my holiday. In fact there wasn’t any protests in Cala D’Or at all. Beach is great, you do have to get there early if you want a bed close to the sea. Or you can pay the sun bed man €51 to save two for 3 consecutive days. The beach is full of families and small children and would suggest if you were an adult group this wouldn’t be the greatest destination. Also the beach is too far to make use of the all inclusive drinks and snacks. However there is a local shop just at the back of the beach to buy your supplies. I travelled All inclusive. The included drinks are very limited and does not include any cocktails. Snacks of fruit and a cake are available all day at the pool bar, but this offered very limited choice. No crisps or nuts available and only mini milk lollies available. Everything else you have to pay for. Food, I enjoyed the food, although it wasn’t always the hottest or tastiest food I’ve eaten, there was a Good selection and everything had been cooked well. The salads were lovely and the bread was fresh everyday. Was worried the food wasn’t going to be good being a 3 star but I couldn’t complain at all. The staff work extremely hard in this area and are always happy to help if needed. Pool area could do with an upgrade. The pool has green scum around the wall at the waters edge, which I found rather off putting. The water was cold and the pool do not remain in the sun for the whole day. Sun beds could do with replacing many were damaged or ripped. We opted for the beach most days. My room was cleaned everyday. The catering and bar staff work very hard, they are 100% efficient, friendly and helpful. The children’s entertainer is lovely, but could do with some additional activities, think she is limited by the hotel rather than her as she is very enthusiastic and fantastic with the children. The hotel does not show any sports or have a TV on in the communal areas. Rooms have TVs with English channels. If you were visiting during the Euros you would need to head into the local area to watch. If you have a physical disability this hotel is NOT for you. There are so many steps! There isn’t a lift to the pool area from reception. Rooms are basic, but comfortable. Single rooms are single beds! However beds are firm and comfy. I even had a quilt. Air conditioning in all rooms, however due to the windows doesn’t keep your room very cold. Cleanliness cannot be faulted, where the room lack modern features the cleanliness is 5 stars as is the rest of the hotel. Maid clean / make your beds daily. The Location is ok, walking distance to the shops is with 3/4 mins. Beach is down many steps and you then have to walk through someone else’s pool area. There is a cash point outside of the hotel and lots of parking. No Lucky Lucky peo

We booked a trip with my friend. The hotel was almost directly on the beach, big pool, good view, clean rooms, breakfast was fine we were not hungry. Location is amazing. It's like a small lagoon. But the most important is the stuff. We didn't expect smt extra cause it's not 5 stars hotel. But everyone was so helpful and friendly the reception team (Paul, Khalid and the older lady), housekeeping and bar/service workers (Roman) I don't remember all the names. But I am grateful to all of them. We had a wonderful vacation. Highly recommended ❤️

I have been visiting Cala D'or for many years and I picked this hotel to come to with my best friend because of the location in Ferrera and the stunning views. We were not disappointed, paying extra for a sea view is a must. The hotel itself is a 3-star and that's what you get but for some that's perfect. Yes, its rooms are basic and a little tired but they are very clean. The food isn't the best but I haven't found any All-inclusive anywhere that actually does decent food. My friend loved the food and I don't eat much so it was perfect for us. For those travelling alone, they do have single rooms that have no single occupancy charge, the only problem is you can't get a sea view, but how long do you spend in your room on holiday? For me, just to sleep. The staff are all amazing and work so hard for so many hours. Reception is extremely helpful and will do everything they can to solve any issues. The bar and restaurant staff are super friendly and will always help if they can. A shout out to the very patient Luis who has worked there nearly as long as I've been alive, and Gregory whose English is near perfect and Eduardo and Roman who were always a slight to see. Maria at the pool bar is super friendly too. Sara does all the entertainment and she is wonderful, always has a smile on her face no matter what she has to deal with and is always there to have a friendly chat and play some games or karaoke. Overall I would not hesitate to come back to this hotel with friends or family or even by myself in the future.

This hotel surpassed our expectations from the moment we arrived until departure.Staff went out of their way to be helpful ..Pau in reception greeted us…and was exceedingly helpful..other staff were great ..can’t remember all the names but Roman in service areas and Eduardo in dining areas ..all great and not forgetting lovely manager ( from Argentina ..who I upset saying Pele played for them)…how many hotel managers bother to have a chat with the guests?Most welcoming

This hotel has been amazing to me, there a lot of hotels in Cala d’or I lost my passport and they helped me so much, I would definitely recommend coming here for holiday, not only this the manager is amazing the bar staff are amazing and Sara the animation is incredible. If I never lost my passport I wouldn’t be here but I’m glad I did so would like to thank you all😊 there are so many names so I can’t include you all but thank you for you time and your hospitality. This should be a 5* not a 3* much love Cabot xxx

Had a brilliant holiday. Mainly down to lovely hotel staff superb location and good quality restaurants nearby. Hotel is a 3 star but struggling to meet that criteria in a few areas. 1. Swimming pool has a scummy mark all the way round. Never seen this before. 2. Tired looking sunbeds with the same birdshit on them every day. We stayed bed and breakfast and was happy with food. The earlier you made breakfast the better fruit choice there was. Rooms were dated but functional. Entrance and foyer plus bar were very modern and nice.
