Hôtel calme et agréable, personnel très disponible qui a pu nous faire entrer plus tôt, étant arrivées en avance.

This is a small charming hotel, quite typical in Europe, in a great location. Small but comfortable room. The staff was friendly and helpful and responded quickly to my inquiries. We had a late checkin (the hotel is actually closed at night) but we were given an entry code and access to a key box for the key to our room. It all worked very well.

This is a very basic place to stay for a night, with some late night grocer- shops close at hand.It reminded me of the sort of place where Maigret would have visited to interview a witness to some felony. It could be used in a period drama.

The staff was really helpful, they have an amazing location and I liked the bedroom. No problem at all with the stairs, it’s an old hotel and has its charm. They let you have the breakfast on their breakfast table or on Your room, Which it was really Nice si ce We wanted To stay in bed a little longer on the second day

We made a last minute reservation on *********** in Caen and were looking for a hotel downtown that could sleep four and was affordable and we found Hotel Saint-Etienne was a good choice. We had also included in our search "parking" since we were driving back to Paris and the Booking listing said they had parking. Unfortunately it is street parking and like most cities it was impossible to find street parking which was frustrating. The hotel is in a great location downtown close to restaurants and cafes. The room we had opened out onto the street but it's in an old building which was adapted to a hotel so probably all the rooms are unique. The rooms were a bit dated but did the job for our family. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is perfectly located for the top sites (Abbaye aux Hommes, Town Hall, churches) and you really know that you are in Normandy here. Lovely warm croissants, coffee, bread, ham and cheese for breakfast. Nice walks around the surrounding streets with local bakeries, restaurants and bars.
