Beautiful historical property well situated in Plaza Espana in central Cadiz. The small number of rooms are stylishly decorated plus the communal areas, including rooftop pool area, are classy, and feel luxurious. We stayed in room three for four nights. The room has a large comfortable bed and living/kitchen area. Bathroom has walk in shower and whirlpool jacuzzi bath. We felt relaxed and found the accommodation very satisfying, and as described on various websites. The hosts, and owners, Eric and Vittore, are super welcoming and knowledgeable. We found the tourist advice for where is good to visit and eat very useful. We ate at several of the restaurants advised and had a great time. The price for the stay was relatively inexpensive and definitely worth a return visit. Recommended.

Unique experience in a historic tower apartment-hotel in the center of town. High ceilings, modern eclectic decor, dramatic rooftop terrace and welcoming hosts made this a special stay. Super comfortable beds, full kitchens too. Buses nearby for easy transport. Close to shopping and restaurants. Walkable from the train station.

Things that I appreciated: -convenient location. It is close to the Caleta beach, good restaurants and all important attractions of Cadiz and 15 min by foot from train and bus stations. -total privacy. The host is always available if needed but do not disturb you at all and you can go in and out of the appartment when you want -possibility to open windows to both sites of the appartment that means you can get fresh air and sleep without any need to use aircon -perfect location of the house, because it is in the open and quite plaza, so you get a lot of fresh air and no noise. -comfortable bed and high quality linens. -a lift Some really small things what I did not like or missed - a little shelf to put toiletters on inside a shower cabin - a broom in an appartment in order to clearn a floor from sand - more bags for trash in the apartment. - battery of TV remote control has to be changed because TV remote control can be operated only standing very close to TV - more toiletters and toilet paper and towel paper for kichen coud be placed in an appartment. - Pillows were too hard to me Certainly you can get everything from the owner by asking but it would be nice to have all this essencial things in advance without disturbing the owner.

Eclectic place to stay, it is difficult to describe how fantastic this hotel is. Although it is not quite a hotel (it’s better!) as it combines the best qualities of a guest house, boutique hotel and a self catering apartment. Ultra chic and modern inside yet complimenting the historical Spanish building and architecture from which it was built. You have the most fantastic communal areas: the lower floor of La Casa del Consul has an impressive lounge and honesty kitchen where you are free to help yourself to a variety of drinks. The roof terrace with a splash pool/jacuzzi, surrounded by unusual, fragrant plants and trees and sun beds which provides amazing 360° views of the old city. The rooftop also offers a second honesty bar. We had the best afternoons lounging on the roof top, enjoying it all to ourselves. The bedrooms are huge and luxurious, our bed was four poster and so comfortable, we had a fantastic bathroom, a tv with sound bar and a kitchen area with nespresso machine, fridge and hob : not that you will cook as the eating out options in Cadiz are exceptional. A truly magical place.

We stayed for 5 days at this wonderful hotel/guest house and it was perfect in every way! Eric and Vittore run the hotel and live on the top floor meaning they are always around to help with any suggestions you need for Cadiz! . They greeting us on our arrival and spent lots of time booking us into restaurants and advising us about Cadiz which was so helpful. They renovated the hotel a few years ago and it is just beautiful. You need to visit to understand fully but the decor is stunning. We stayed in a gorgeous apartment with huge bath/jacuzzi, separate kitchen/living area and lovely bedroom. All very well equipped. The is a lovely terrace with a pool, an honesty bar and lots of plants. It’s only small but always enough beds. The hotel is in the old town and a few minutes walk from the beautiful streets and restaurants of Cadiz. If visiting Cadiz, definitely stay here!

This is the best hotel in Cadiz. Big statement, I know, but it's true. The location is right in the centre of the old town and within walking distance of the train station and all the major locations within Cadiz. The property and rooms are decorated to an expectational standard. Vittore and his partner are the best hosts I have ever met, the communication from them, and the help and advice they offered was spot on. Even down to organising the taxi fron the airport to pick me. Plus advising on which restaurants and bars to visit. I will definitely be returning to visit them and Cadiz again. It's my new home from home.
