Stayed at Hotel Cachar Club in Silchar. The property is good and well-maintained, with decent facilities. However, the food experience was extremely disappointing and well below expectations. The breakfast spread was very limited, unappetizing, and carelessly prepared — the idlis and dhokla were hard, dry, and completely inedible. Dinner options were equally uninspiring, bland, and poorly cooked. On 14th June, the chicken served for buffet dinner was not only stale and undercooked but also chewy, flavorless, and quite possibly unsafe for consumption. Overall, the food was tasteless, unhygienic, and lacked freshness or variety. The F&B service needs urgent and serious improvement.

During my trip to Silchar for the doctorate admission process at NIT, I stayed at Cachar Club and found it to be a convenient and comfortable choice. The location is excellent—right at the city centre—making travel to nearby spots, including NIT Silchar, smooth and hassle-free. Autos are readily available just outside the premises, which adds to the ease of commuting. The stay felt safe, especially when travelling with my wife. In comparison to many other hotels I had checked in the town, this one gave us a sense of security and peace of mind, which is a major factor when travelling with family. The premises are well-maintained, and the overall environment felt both professional and homely. Food was another highlight—fresh, well-prepared, and served with care. While the hotel might not boast ultra-modern luxuries, it offers a very decent blend of cleanliness, safety, and courteous service. I would definitely recommend Cachar Club to fellow researchers, working professionals, or families visiting Silchar, especially those seeking a safe and reliable stay option in the heart of the city. It’s a good base for academic visits or official work, with everything you need within reach.

Excellent behaviour of staffs, specially Miss Monirun of House Keeping, she always very active in her duties and completes those on time.... Whenever we ask for any house keeping related issues, she promptly handles it. Including today's room cleaning experience.

Sunday Brunch is always awesome with huge spread of delicacies … Waiter Amal Das is always ever helpful and infact all staffs are very friendly …. Rooms are very clean …. And lot of spacious parking in the property . Bar is also good and live bands are there quite often

We r regular guests but every time Amal and Roy makes this experience very very homely...they serve us like family members and are very very decent....a regular place for our special and casual outing... wonderful experience............

This is one of my favourite places to visit with friends and family to eat and this place has never disappointed me. Paritosh is a great host. Loved the food and hospitality. A great place to visit again. Cleanliness which is so important when we go out and this place has this.
