We had a very negative experience staying at Kilimani Kwetu. Our room was broken into and the room safe was stolen along with other valuables. We lost all our money and new tanzanite jewelry that were in the safe, clothing, iPad and an entire suitcase of clothes and expensive binoculars. The manager on site, Alnoor, acted concerned but said the police won’t show up that night. He continued to lie for days and we have come to the conclusion that our break-in was definitely an inside job. He knew what was in our safe since a dead battery for the security code had to be conveniently replaced in order for us to open it and retrieve our items prior to the break-in the following night. The hotel was very shabby, had no internet when it advertised that it did, and Alnoor would not take a credit card. Stay away!

We booked four bungalows at Kilimani Kwetu based on reviews and the amenities/photos listed online by the hotel. I'm sorry to say that this place must have gone downhill quickly. There was only a barebones staff, the beach cafe was closed, there was no music, and internet service was almost non-existant. The food was very good, but the cook worked alone, so lunch took two hours to prepare. After that first lunch we started eating at the hotel next door where we could pay with a credit card. "Cashless payments" were promised, but not available, and the nearest ATM was in Paje, about a 45-minute walk along the beach. We also experienced a theft - the door to one of our bungalows was just pushed in, and the safe was taken along with a suitcase and valuables. The small safe was just sitting on a shelf ... only one of the four bungalows had a safe that was bolted to the wall/shelf. There is supposedly "security" at night, but no one was on site while we were away at dinner. We were already very dissatisfied with the place we chose for our three-night stay, but the theft was the final blow, and absolutely ruined our vacation.

Next to the paradisiac beach, you'll find cozy bungalows with working AC and a devoted manager : Alnoor, ready to solve every issue you could have, with your satisfaction as his only goal, I spent a really good time there, would recommend !

Maybe this place was nicer some time ago (reading the reviews) but now the entire place is really neglected, starting from the rooms, to the restaurant (2 hours to get the food and the next day i had food poisoning), to the children pool (not open, just dirt inside), to the beach area (hammock was broken, shower too). And the beach!! Terrible. Coming with the tides there is garbage of all types (bottles, nappies, food...) and no one cleans it!!

L'hôtel a annulé la réservation la veille de notre séjour. Nous avions réservé une chambre confort. L'hôtel a proposé une chambre inférieure, ce que nous avons accepté moyennant le remboursement de la différence. L'hôtel a refusé notre proposition.
