We've stayed at the Travelodge Atlantic Wharf several times now, and we keep returning because of its excellent location at Cardiff Bay. It's always clean, and the staff are brilliant, especially Kim, who is always friendly and ensures that we have a great stay and know where to go when we are in Cardiff. We had a fantastic time at the Travelodge Atlantic Wharf. It has everything we need for a short stay. Lots of free parking, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the facilities are great with a good choice of food and drink with happy hour drink offers from 5-7. All relatively standard but what sets this Travelodge apart is the lovely staff. We had a complicated booking but from the moment we arrived Kim and her colleagues couldn’t have been more helpful. They ensured that our stay was hassle free and transferring from one room to our second was as easy as possible. Kim made sure that the next shift were aware of the arrangements and could help us too. I would highly recommend this Travelodge. It is a short walk from the Bay and Cardiff city centre and there is a cinema, gym and lots of restaurants in the Red Dragon Centre next door.

Visited as a group of three friends and had a triple room which is very good value including breakfast. Staff are so friendly and remember us from our last visit (probably the 5th or 6th time we've stayed. Happy hour in bar downstairs is very good value. Breakfast is very good with hot food constantly being topped up. Free parking outside hotel which is a real bonus. Within walking distances of all restaurants in Cardiff Bay and public transport. Felt safe walking out at night.

this hotel is in a good location , short walk from the busy and buzzy Cardiff Bay area. The staff are helpful and do their best, the bar / cafe has no atmosphere and is very canteen like. the decor / fabric of the hotel is very tired looking and could do with a major upgrade. if you can get the right price, coupled with the free parking, it makes for very good Value for money.

My Husband and I have just returned home from a visit to my son in Cardiff. The room we had here was on the small size but functional though not much room in the bathroom at all. Breakfast was good value for money. While we were staying I manage to fall out of a taxi as we returned back after another day spent sight seeing with my Son,, Chris was on reception and when he found out what had happened was very concerned for my welfare, he bought me a glass of water and made sure I didn't need any medical attention. Later when my husband and I came back down for something to eat Chris asked again if I was ok and said I should have stayed upstairs and he would have bought our food up to us to which I thanked him and said I needed to move otherwise I would have seized up. I was so touched by the concern showed by Chris and would like to say what a wonderful asset he is to the reception team

Well located, free parking, clean room, friendly staff BUT....... - the food is dreadful, both evening meal and the all you can eat breakfast. - hotel exterior is grubby - dirty, weeds, empty alcohol bottles. - non-residents lingering in the covered area of car park. - entrance and reception area smells of smoke. - one of the two lifts is out of action. - the secure pass door on floor 4 is broken so anyone can access. - outside is a large building site which starts at around 7.50 in the morning. It's hard to sleep through the noise. - at times the whole hotel shakes due to the heavy plant working next door.
