On the Rocks Bungalows, Restaurant and Jungle Trekking Tours

I can say is wow. We stayed in the waterfall bungalow. The view of the jungle and waterfall were stunning and we felt like we were right in the jungle. And all We could hear was the sounds of the wildlife. We were lucky enough to have the silver leaf Lingus play in the trees right in front of our balcony. Each day orangutans were in trees very close to the resort, we watched them from the resort. Food and service of all staff was exceptional. The decor and bungalows are beautiful and are suited to the environment. On the Rocks arranged a 2 night trek for us, which was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Ling is one of the best guides I have ever had. Dan our cook made us some delicious meals. The trek waa through the extremely beautiful scenery of the jungle and we were very lucky to spot plenty of orangutans and gibbons. Long was so caring and ensured that we were enjoying the trek as well as advising of hazards and where to go slowly etc. The meals we had packed each day were delicious, we had lovely fruit platters for morning tea and tasty noodles and chicken for Lunch during the trek. This place was amazing! Up in the jungle, away from the noise. Saw orangutans not long after checking in. Although you do see more on a jungle trek - which the lovely staff are able to organize for you. Pack light as there are quite a few stairs to climb to get to the bungalows but definitely worth it. Friendly staff, great food and great location.
