Very nice, clean and comfortable accommodations. The staff is very friendly and the food was great, I would definitely go again it’s beautiful.

Comfortable room, although bed was a bit hard. Plenty of room, nice hot shower once the hot water arrived. Security light stayed in all night which was annoying but not the end of the world! Hospitality was wonderful, staff were eager to help in any way.

Loved loved loved this lodge… from the warm welcome by the staff to the comfort of the beautiful room and the excellent food! The location is perfect for the gorilla trek and visit of the Batwa village.

Our stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge was unforgettable, thanks to the wonderful team. John, David, Joseph, and all the staff treated us with such care, kindness, and attention that we felt truly at home. Their warmth and hospitality made our gorilla trekking experience even more special, and the lodge itself was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Bwindi. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A very special highlight was visiting the Batwa village with Isaiah and the Batwa Pygmies Network, which made our trip even more meaningful and enriching. It added an unforgettable cultural dimension to our time in Bwindi.

Service was friendly and attentive. Little extras like bottled water in the room, boot cleaning service. Nice fitness/bar area. A little noisy at night but room clean and bed comfy. Would definitely recommend. Lots of food - you definitely wont go hungry during your stay. Would recommend visiting the Batwa community - definitely puts the previous two mean hotel reviews into perspective. We went on the amazing golden monkey trek and returning next week for gorillas.

Unfortunately, there is a lot lacking about this hotel and I would not choose to stay here again. The restaurant service was slow and quite poor. I had to ask several times for basic things plus our meal took a very long time to arrive. The food was average. The rooms were clean but quite basic and the hot water was limited and difficult to work. The beds were very hard. There was no AC or a fan in the room so it was quite hot. When we arrived the reception staff warned us there was an event and we might experience more noise. Well, they were correct. Between 11pm and 12:15 am there was loud noise coming from the lobby and front of the hotel. Cars coming and going, gates opening and closing and lots of loud voices. Even after I let the hotel staff know the noise was making it impossible to sleep it did not stop. Once the party guests left then the staff made lots of noise as they talked, then clanged and banged as clanging as they cleaned after the party. I think the design of the hotel contributed to the noise level so if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable place to sleep I don’t this is the place for it. Overall, there were just too many negatives things about this hotel for me to recommend it.
