I am very disjointed--not with the hotel itself--it is clean and pretty, but with the service. Because of the national strike on Monday March 27th, my 8:15am flight out of Frankfurt (FRA) to NYC on Singapore Airlines was cancelled and changed to Sunday March 26th at 8:15am. Under my original itinerary I had booked two nights at the Hotel Monopol, arriving on March 24th and departing on Sunday March 26th to take the train to Frankfurt to leave early on the 27th. Because of the strike, I now only need one night stay as I am leaving on Sunday from Frankfurt Airport to the US. When I arrived and asked to be released for the second night I was told no, because I did not give 24-hour notice and because the strike is on Monday, not Sunday. So I am stuck paying for a night I am not staying for something that is completely out of my control. This lack of understanding, the unfriendly, snotty manner in which the reception person dealt with me, left me with a very poor impression of this hotel. Never again will I stay here.

Small boutique hotel at very cosy house, clean rooms, tasty breakfast, nice coffee bar, parking place, these are several good points about hotel. Also, the location is excellent, very quiet part of the city, but close to the fair and main station.

Puntuación: 7,07,0 Buen desayuno, pero poca fruta, ambiente acogedor básico. La llegada por la tarde con el código para la llave resulta un tanto fría, no hay opción de solicitar cualquier cosa: cambiar sábanas no limpias, un par de almohadas, o saber funcionar la calefacción. La atención durante la mañana está bien, amable y solícita, pero olvidan cosas acordadas; es tan personal que el método no abunda. La habitación semisótano es desagradable, y sin ascensor, hay que cargar con la maleta.

Gepflegtes schönes Hotel in wunderschönem alten Haus. Sehr freundlicher und netter sowie professioneller Service. Wir haben die zwei Nächte voll und ganz genossen. Kleines Manko- das W-Lan ist sehe schwach und die Wände teils etwas hellhörig. Würde aber jederzeit wiederkommen. Lage ist zudem perfekt. 15 Minuten zum Viertel oder zum Bahnhof, Bürgerpark gleich um die Ecke
