Very nice traditional hotel in the centre. Lots of character with modern rooms.

Room was simple, but clean. Location right at the heart of Braunschweig, my room even had a view onto the historical cathredral and the inner place with the bronze lion. Price was reasonable. Not full number of stars because of not acceptable trea**ent be the staff during the check-in. The Covid rules just changed two days earlier and while the place had enough capacities to send me several "invitations" for early check-in by internet, they did not have the decency to point out that the rule have changed in between booking and day of arrival. Caused many problems finding a testing place. Had a very unpleasant phone call, because check-in closes at 9 p.m., which is surprising for an international hotel in the center of the city. this goes along with people clearly visible in one restaurant room busy drinking. I was so unhappy with the staff that I skipped breakfast and decided to eat at one of the nearby cafes. Next time I will definitely look for a different place.

Das Hotel bietet eine interessante Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit in die 80 er oder noch ältere Epoche. Der Trip in die Vergangenheit war ein Erlebnis. Neben einem old fashioned Bett, aber höhenverstellbaren Kopfteil, einem großen Kleiderschrank, sauberen Bad und nutzbaren Schreibtisch war schnelles WLAN verfügbar. Das Frühstück war reichlich und interessant im alten Speise- bzw. Ballsaal einzunehmen. Das Hotel befindet sich in der besten Lage in Braunschweig mit Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel. Wer Lust auf al**odisches Ambiente in zentraler Lage hat, kann sich hier einquartieren.

Unser Zimmer war ausgesprochen renovierungsbedürftig. Die Dusche war für korpulente Personen nicht nutzbar wegen einem extrem schmalen Einstieg, außerdem war die Duschtasse ungewöhnlich rutschig. Der Geruch im Zimmer war ziemlich unangenehm. Das Frühstück war nichts Besonderes, aber einigermaßen ok. Das italienische Restaurant war ganz ordentlich. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Das Zimmer zur Straße war auch ziemlich laut. Die Betten sehr weich.

Hotel situato in pieno centro, struttura storica ma dotata di tutti i confort. Ambiente elegante con camere pulite e funzionali. Bellissima la scalinata centrale, buona la colazione con varietà di dolce e salato. Parcheggio antistante all hotel molto funzionale
