I stayed here i enjoyed this stay. I did boil the ketrle.and that just before leaving . Dr otteker i added as the water cam be dubiiois .the demand for this water is high so i add a cleaner and i passed the water via a brita style filter . Its nice for comlan. The riom is cold fpr.me this is super i need cold as heat can might may be bad news? So thr electruc stpped Hmm Then it seems the kettle was not on a trip circuit tp syop a nlown fuse in the plug of thr ketyel it been a notmality to have a kettel over flow. I diid not shower as i found the amount of wayer is difficult to.keep many areas as this in constant sypply I neede dot be hydrated if i wash that does not happen ..and i spebt two.days readdresi g g this need .. Advjce tp all hotels.os hav3 a ketgle.with glass hwrer the customer sees the water is dirty or clean..it.is.a.beyyer sytem.not.rto be too.well.its water . ?

We stayed in the Georgian Suite which was a massive surprise to me! Apparently, I got it quite cheap! Absolutely lovely. It was an annexe from the main pub and was just luxurious. The pub was lovely - good ales and the people we met there were fantastic. I could not recommend this more. Oh, the breakfast was great too, just a little too much for me. Thank you, Charlie and your staff.

Friends told me to check this place out. I visited with a few friends and this place is referred to as a hotel more like a below average B&B. Had lunch there with a few friends and the food was not that nice to say the least. Will not be going back there that is for sure.

Booked our wedding here which was confirmed and deposit paid. Proprietor has since cancelled claiming venue had been double booked. Not what I’d expect from a wedding venue. Must be difficult to double book if you have any sort of simple diary system in place. Only suggestion from them was that we change everything else we had booked to a day that suited them and maybe then they could offer some sort of compensation. No thank you, trust gone and what’s the likely hood of everyone being able to meet the new date. More costs to us to change already booked services. No compensation offered for the inconvenience and proprietor doesn’t respond to emails now. Shame to have to leave a negative review due to no effort made to compensate. Couldn’t recommend based on lack of customer care.

When my Mother spoke to this Hotel to book rooms for our family get together She asked about cancellation and was told that this hotel has a no refund policy but they would be willing to move to another date and this seamed reasonable. However when my Father was taken seriously I’ll into Hospital it had to be decided to postpone our Family gathering and my Mother called the Hotel to inform them that under the circumstances we would like to move our Booking. We were told this was not possible. That Day they took the full £558 from my parents credit card I emailed them asking them to honour the agreement and they replied they were only willing to allow a 50 % discount on a further Booking The attitude of this Hotel to its customers is absolutely disgusting and don’t deserve to succeed in this business.

This is a pub with a screen for watching sports and there music at night so as to set the scene. It is the same price as The Bull in Long Melford and I have stayed at both so here is a little bit of help to the owners. Refurb your rooms a bit. Toilet burped at night so probably a broken macerator, carpet in bathroom isn’t a good idea, only one pillow, mattress hard, bed rickety. The priority is to fix the outside back door which you can push open without a key. So anyone can walk in out of the street if they chance it and be outside the bedroom doors in a jiffy. Staff need to really care for their guests’ comfort or at least look and sound like they do. This isn’t a high end hotel so don’t be officious. Your first word to guests should feel like a welcome and ‘yes we can’. I know you guys can do it and I will stay again in the future .. just to check you have 😁 Lovely breakfast!!
