This location is convenient as restaurant Sticks and Stones is a 1/2 mile north in case you are in the mood for some wood fired pizza. The town of Schroon Lake is 2 miles north and has a grocery store, a pharmacy, a health center, a 1950's retro style movie theater as well as restaurants and shops. If you are looking for ice cream, there are several soft serve shops in the area as well as Stewart's, which is a regional classic, for hard serve ice cream. Even though you will have your own beach to use, the town beach and town park overlooking Schroon Lake are absolutely beautiful. There is a gazebo in the park overlooking the lake that is a great place to take a family picture. The summer schedule is chock full of various free music performances in town.
