The dock provides a swim ladder and there are multiple kayaks, a paddle boat and plenty of floating tubes to ensure summer time fun on the water. The game room is located on the walkout ground floor level, ensuring that the night owls wanting to stay up late and play don't disturb the early to bed crowd. A Smart TV, as well as, a ping pong table and foosball table round out this large space made to entertain. Positioned on several hundred acres, there are miles of walking trails that you can access directly from the house. This private Adirondack Style house in Mount Vernon is 25 feet from the waters edge on Ingham Pond, with easy boating access on to Long Pond and Belgrade Lakes Village. Ingham Pond is home to loon families every year. A kayakers heaven!! Standup paddle boarders heaven!! Fisherman's heaven!! We have a lot to offer. The house sleeps eight, offering 3 cozy bedrooms with 2 queen beds, 1 full bed, and 1 bunk bed. The 2 bathrooms are equipped with showers and 1 with a tub. Hair dryers are supplied for your convenience. Amenities include heating, WiFi, Direct TV, dishwasher, washer, dryer and a small office with desk and chair. Our drinking water comes from a deep drilled artesian well that has been tested and is safe. [Optional bunkhouse that sleeps 5 and has a full bath is available with an extra charge. Contact owner. Rustic 3 room cabin with lake views from every window. The lake is just steps away in any direction. Sandy bottom swimming areas and the lake is great for boating, canoeing, kayaking or jet skiing.Island vacationing is not for everyone. If you love camping (not the same as RV'ing) you will love this. It is a lot like camping except you have a real bed to sleep in. Rustic in nature there is no electricity or running water. We do provide a composting toilet, propane stove, refrigerator and solar campers shower. Many refer to it as "glamping", glamorous camping. We provide a canoe, life vests and paddles. Its a short 5 minute paddle from the shore where you park your car. Please note we do not have a cleaning service and everyone is expected to clean before departure. Designed by Boston marine architect Frank Morse, the 25-foot lighthouse was constructed to prevent vessels from going aground on a jagged reef in the middle of the lake. Initial construction proved hairy (not to mention comical) when the builders set out to transport two oxen to the island to help raise the structure. The crew could only haul one ox at a time due to the size of their barge. After they dropped one ox at the site and were on their way to fetch the other, the first ox apparently got lonesome and began swimming back to the mainland to find his friend.
