Your Lake Toxaway adventure begins here. Step inside this welcoming property and be greeted by its adorable charm and amazing view of Toxaway Mountain/waterfall. All the bedrooms and living room upstairs have remote controlled blinds. With 1 king bed, and 2 queen beds, all with their own closets and full bathrooms, it offers a beautiful space for guests to relax and unwind. The 4 bathrooms are equipped with everything you need, including a hair dryer, towels, and soaps. Also, the master bathroom has heated floors. For plenty of space 6 guests are recommended, 8 is our max number of guests. After 6 there is a 50$ per night per guests charge.The kitchen is fully stocked and has a small dinette with a bigger dining room table that seats a total of 12. A bird cage is located to the left of the dining room. The owners have a bird named Mr. Wilson, so they leave it there for their use. The balcony is out back and is semi covered, has Toxaway mountain right there, and provides more seating, and a gas grill. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like a private hot tub, whole house filter system, washer/dryer, and the basic essentials. This little cottage has been in our family for 5 generations. It was built in the 1880's and sat on a basement with modern amenities in 1949, then a deck was added in the early 2000's. In 2020 we remodeled the house, updated the wiring, and added wifi. In September 2023 we put split units both upstairs and down stairs adding heat and air condition. There is 1 bedroom, a dining room, living room and a full kitchen upstairs. The downstairs includes 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom and a laundry room. It is furnished with our own eclectic blend of family antiques and flea market finds. There is also a deck with grill upstairs off of the kitchen for easy outdoor meals. Downstairs there is a nice back patio with easy access to a very large back yard, great for families and pets to enjoy. The front porch is adorned with two rocking chairs which provide a wonderful place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.This cottage is conveniently located off the side of Blue Ridge Road. The area is scenic, being in the mountains. There are lots of golf courses, hiking (Panthertown Valley, Pisgah National Forest, Nantahala National Forest, Gorges State Park), fishing (French broad river, Whitewater, Wolf Creek Lake, East Fork, North Fork of the French Broad), and waterfalls (Toxaway Falls, Whitewatwr Falls, Rainbow Falls, Schoolhouse Falls) within a few minutes of the house. The Lake Toxaway community center, which offers fun Friday nights with food and live music during the warm months, is only a short distance away, and has Tennis courts, a large play ground, a basketball goal, and a paved walking track. The beautiful Greystone Inn, a popular wedding and dining venue is less than 15 minutes away.Lake Toxaway is a friendly community which enjoys all four seasons. Cool mountain air is very pleasant during the summer months, and the gorgerous leaves during the fall will simply mesmerize you. Winter offers nice mountain weather and Sapphire Valley has snow tubing and skiing available. On most trails you can find Wildflowers growing in abundance during the spring. Beauty can be found all around. Our little cottage is in the perfect location to offer all that the area has to give. This is a 3-year-old custom-built home, beautifully furnished and created for your family's memories. It is located in Catatoga Club, a private gated community in Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. This home sits on Lake Catatoga with canoes, paddleboards, a dock, fishing, swimming, and hiking trails all available, along with numerous waterfalls within steps from our back porch. While fishing is prohibited in the creeks, it is welcomed in the lake behind our home. We do have a few poles but you might want to bring your own as they get damaged regularly.You will also have access to the Catatoga swim and tennis facilities, and hot tub during the summer months. For those seeking a peaceful and scenic relaxing mountain retreat, you will find plenty to savor in this breathtaking community.After a full day outdoors, you can come back for some ping pong, shuffleboard, Cornhole, or simply relax on your outdoor swing bed. For the evening, prepare dinner in our world-class kitchen or kick back and watch the game on one of the 70-inch smart TVs with Sonos surround sound. With only a 20-minute drive to Cashiers or Brevard and less than an hour to Highlands/Asheville, you will never run out of options for great hiking, biking, fishing, food, drink, and shopping! -4 King size bedrooms with private bathrooms-Bunk bedroom with double mattresses and a small trundle underneath. Daybed on the back porch can even sleep 2 more if needed.
