A canal front, cozy and modern tiny house right in Southern Shores. We thought of everything that will make your stay as relaxing as possible. A short 5 minute car ride and 10 min bike ride to the closest beach access, coffee shops and local dining. We offer 2 bikes and 2 beach chairs for your stay. We are a local family of 5 who live right in front of Beehive. My 3 children are often outside playing soccer and basketball. Come and enjoy old Avon Village on a quiet one way street. The Surfstead suite offers an eclectic blend of island history, craftsmanship and comfort in one of the oldest houses on Hatteras island. There is a private deck and entrance leading into a living and dining area equipped with a Roku tv. Prepare your meals in the fully stocked kitchenette. The bedroom has a queen size bed with another Roku tv, and a full bathroom with a tile shower. A private hot tub too! We look forward to sharing "This old house" with others! Built at the turn of the 20th century, the house has weathered many storms and with a lot of TLC she is ready to weather more. This unique space has all a traveling surfer or couple would need to enjoy all Avon has to offer. Centrally located, the beach is a 10 minute walk away as are numerous restaurants and epic sunset spots such as Avon Harbor. The suite is a completely private space, as is the outdoor shower and hot tub. Guests are free to enjoy the suite in its entirety including the private outdoor living space. We live in the upstairs space as a small family of 4. We do not party or stay up late but during the day you may hear our young daughter from time to time. We always try and be as respectful as possible! Always tranquil, there is no other neighborhood quite like Scarborough Town own Hatteras island. We have laundry facilities upstairs which we are happy to share with guests if they find themselves in need to freshen up their boardies after a few long, hot days on the beach. This home is truly beachfront property and it only takes 2 minutes to walk over the protective dunes and be at the deep, uncrowded beach (.5 photos make dunes appear deeper than they are, but you’ll love the protection in a storm). You'll enjoy oceanside views from EVERY single room of the home. (Yes, I know that seems impossible but the architect was brilliant. And, both the interior and exterior have been renovated (‘24 - ‘26)!Be one of the first to enjoy this beachfront Outer Banks home post-renovation with friends or family. There are TWO King Master Suites, one Queen Suite, a Queen guest room and a bunk room all with Beach views!This oceanfront home has been updated inside & out. Repainted exterior, new roof & decks. FIRST FLOOR:The first floor door leads directly to the beach, with a spacious, fully enclosed outside shower, and beach chairs, umbrella and easy up tent available for your use. Once inside, there is a large mudroom and laundry room with ample space to unload from the beach, charge your phone (wireless docking station), or stock up with snacks and drinks from the mini-fridge. Beyond the main laundry and mudroom area there is a separate, queen bedroom suite with smart TV and completely updated private bath. (Perfect for your early rising surfers and fisherman, where they won't wake the rest of the family!)SECOND FLOOR:Walk upstairs to the second floor and you will find an office area with wireless charging station. The desk includes a monitor for easy hook up (in the event someone can't leave work at home). This level also has three beautiful bedrooms with access to the Hot Tub deck and a full, coastal hall bathroom. Bedroom layout: 1) The first bedroom is a huge king bedroom suite with extra daybed for lounging or small children that sneak into your room at night (twin size). This suite has it's own private full bath, smart TV, and large sliding doors that let in amazing beach views and offer direct access to the hot tub. 2) The second bedroom on this level is a large bunk room with 4 twin beds and a smart TV/gaming area with bean bag chairs to sink into for hours (if you allow it, of course ;). The bunk room has deck access to the hot tub and fabulous beach views if you're using it for adults, but is also stocked with a pack-and-play, high chair, baby monitor, safety gates and everything you need for the little ones as well. 3) The final guest room on this floor is a large, bright and cheery guest bedroom with smart TV and a queen four poster bed that faces the beach to enjoy the ocean sounds and views as soon as you wake each morning (unless you want to sleep in using the blackout curtains that are provided in bedroom areas ;). This room also has sliding doors to the deck with Adirondack chairs for lounging or direct deck access to the hot tub.THIRD FLOOR:Finally, when you venture to the main living space (a Great Room area on the 3rd floor), you will be blown away by the ocean views that pour through all THREE large sliding glass doors - inviting you to the decks that run the length of the house with tons of space for outdoor living. No matter whether you're watching TV on the couch (or sleeping in that queen sofa bed), grabbing a glass of wine in the bar area, eating in the dining room, or preparing meals in the kitchen you'll enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. Cathedral ceilings and ocean views run through all areas - from the renovated kitchen (new appliances including convection oven, quartz counters, farmhouse sink, etc.)... to the newly appointed living room area (huge new L-Shaped sleeper sectional)... to the large dining room that seats everyone easily and has access to it's own separate deck for outdoor dining. The Great Room provides another wireless charging station (to collect those family phones), alexa for music or voice activated games and controls, and direct access to the powder room on this floor. The final feature of the 3rd floor level is a private primary suite with huge king bed overlooking the ocean, smart TV, and private bath. Pamlico sound-front custom home completed in early 2022. It's located in the village of Salvo at the end of the road and is surrounded by large Live Oaks and natural fauna. Your private front entrance into unit #2 is the brown/glass door on the right side of the home. The 10' ceilings make the retreat feel incredibly spacious. It includes a coffee maker, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a ceiling fan, and linens. The custom-tiled bathroom has a solid-surface double vanity and a large glass-enclosed tile shower. The shared outdoor space includes the front lanai with comfortable furniture, the enclosed outdoor shower, and the pier. The HVAC is centrally controlled and automatically adjusts for comfortable temperatures throughout the day and evening. When it comes to beach access, the options are plentiful. A quick drive takes you to Rodanthe beach access, which offers a bathhouse, outdoor showers, picnic tables, and an oceanfront gazebo. For those looking for a more adventurous beach experience, Ramp 25 provides year-round 4WD access to the beaches south of Salvo. If you want to walk, it's 7-10 minutes, depending on the pace. Whether you're an angler, a surfer, or someone who enjoys the serenity of coastal life, this home provides convenient access to various recreational activities. This sound front retreat is a great home base for visiting the Outer Banks and Hatteras Island. It is off Highway 12 but hidden among giant live oaks, eastern cedars, and other natural fauna.Self-check-in is easy with an electronic keypad door lock. Two private ensuites for rent are accessed on either side of the front door. We reside with our two Labradoodles, Bentley and Porscha, in the remainder of the home. We enjoy traveling and may or may not be there during your visit. Enjoy the quiet space, gorgeous sunset view, and beautiful landscape, and smell the roses (during the season.) Listen to the birds, and smell the salty air and relaxing. Cozy large bedroom, large bathroom, and walk-in closet. Smart TV with Netflix access. Small fridge with freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. No kitchen. Plates, cups, glasses, and silverware are included. Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, coffee filters, and sugar. There are linens for the bed and one set of bath towels but please bring your own beach towels.We have one double bike, three regular bikes, a kayak for two people, and a stand-up paddleboard. These are shared among guests from two other apartments. We don't have direct access to the water. However, we're a two-minute walk to the Albemarle Sound access, and a boardwalk makes it perfect for a sunset stroll. We're about a ten-minute walk to the ocean. There's a distant view of the ocean from the bathroom and closet windows Bedroom faces the sound but the water view is blocked by trees. Please note that the studio is located on the 2nd floor via outdoor stairs.
