Sliding glass doors walk out to a private patio with a table and chairs that are just steps from the lake. Enjoy a private sauna or bonfire while watching the skies or take to the endless hiking trails Cook County has to offer, the options are endless!Our cabin is located on a 40 acre parcel just off a private very well maintained road. Privacy is well maintained for a quiet getaway. Full of wildlife in the undeveloped area, we’ve spotted various types of animals and birds ranging from small to large. The 14x28 cabin offers a poplar and hickory built kitchen for food preparation needs, with a faucet for cleaning, and a neat dining table to eat with space. 7 windows are provided for a look at nature along with blinds for privacy along the sleeping area. Fridge/ freezer to keep food/drinks cold. Sleeping offers a queen size log bed for a needed nightly recharge. Enjoy outdoor dining or watch as a campfire crackles. Rock fire pit provided along with birch firewood for a sweet and soothing chance to enjoy the warmth. Clean and spacious outhouse is provided for bathroom needs.Enjoy the off grid experience while being able to keep your food and drinks cold along with indoor/outdoor lighting. 4 USB outlets are provided along with cigarette lighter ports for charging needs.House Rules: -This will be based as a “glamping” type experience. “Leave it as you found it” and let others enjoy the space. Cleaning supplies are provided for an easy refresh! This helps keep stays more affordable if we all can do our part.- Water is all carry in!To use the sink we provide a fill jug that has to be placed back in cabinet after filling to supply the faucet. Dump bucket under sink drain. - Pack in your own bedding to enjoy your favorite comforters and pillows. - Easy access is provided with an electronic keypad for easy entrance/exit.- Guests are welcome to hike around the entire 40-acre parcel along with all adjacent federal land, up to 200 acres. Lots of leg room for adventures!- We provide dry birch firewood for easy and clean outdoor burning, toiletries, and all cleaning supplies needed plus garbage bags for a clean and fun experience.- Take note of recommended burning times as we would ask all guests to not burn during any dry times, for the safety of you, and anyone else along the north shore!- While we have 12VDC power available for lighting and USB outlets, our standard 120VAC power is not available unless a generator was plugged into the back of the homes inlet. Bring the whole family to this true Farmhouse! My husband and I bought my grandpa’s house on my family farm and we want to share it with you. This spacious newly remodeled house with a large kitchen and dining area, an open concept that is great for large groups and big families. A master bedroom with a king bed, master bathroom has a large shower and you can even take a soak in the cattle stock tank bathtub. Second full bathroom on the main floor with a large shower too. On the lower level the bunk room will be a huge hit! With 3 twin beds, 2 double beds it makes for a fun nights sleep! Across the hall you’ll find a large bedroom with two queen beds and a small sitting area. This bedroom had its own large bathroom with a shower. Washer and dryer as well on lower level of the split level home. If you love the country, absolutely beautiful views and animals this is definitely the spot for you! Experience the sites sounds and smells of a working farm. Tractors, cows, pigs and hard-working farmers can be found everywhere, everyday on this property! You will hear cows mooing, pigs squealing and calves calling for mom, tractors working, dirt bikes and four wheelers driving around, kids playing and me calling In the cows in for milking time. These things will differ depending on the time of year you come and stay with us. Enjoy beautiful places to take walks, we even have access to a river canyon with waterfalls that you can hike to. Come join me in the barn at milking time, you can even milk a cow! The farm is about 10 minutes away from down town Grand Marais! Newly built house located in Lutsen, MN. Great for families and large groups! Lots of space to kick back and relax and enjoy what Lutsen has to offer! Near Lutsen Mountain Ski Resort (9 minute drive), Superior National Golf Course (8 minute drive), hiking and snowmobile trails and much more!A few things to note: we are located about 2 miles inland from Lake Superior. This house is a new build and we haven't had a chance to complete any landscaping yet (there's concrete patio behind the house).You will have the entire home during your stay which has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. 2 bedrooms are located on the main level and 3rd is located in the loft (please note the loft is not fully enclosed and overlooks the living room/kitchen so noise is able to travel easily from that area). King bed located in each bedroom on the main level. The loft also has 2 king beds as well as a pull out sofa bed for additional sleeping space. There are 3 twin sized foldable beds also on site. You will have your own fully stocked kitchen. Lots of natural light and great spaces to lounge and relax during your stay!This place has the ability to sleep up to 12 guests but the space may be most comfortable with 8-10 adults or less. All bedrooms have ceiling fans plus additional tabletop fans, if needed. A Pack N Play is, also, available for the little ones. The pull-out twin sleeper and EZ beds all have gel foam mattress toppers for your comfort. There is also full size futon downstairs, a little wood stove and solar-powered lights and USB charger. It's hard to believe off-grid living could be this cozy. That said, it's not for everyone. Guests will bring in water, ice, and linens / sleeping bags. There is an outhouse for guests.
