Booked as a last minute, lovely hotel.. Reception staff could not of been more helpful. We got upgraded to a sea view, and the room was spacious & lovely. .. there’s a lovely grandness to the hotel , so I felt sad that the smallest of Maintenon job that I noticed let it down, for example , the conference room opposite the reception curtain we’re hanging off it’s rail. So simple to rectify I’m sure. Bar drinks, VERY overly priced . Didn’t use the Spa as closed at 6pm . I would return to this hotel., as stated the reception ladies were smiley, & helpful.

Very nice hotel the only thing I was disappointed that it’s was not mini fridge in the room

The staff were all delightful and made us feel very welcome.. Excellent location, overlooking the sea. The building is being refurbished in easy stages..

The hotel is very comfortable, albeit a little tired. The rooms were fine, very large.. not many facilities in the room but ample..the hotel was very hot inside which was a bit uncomfortable.. staff very friendly but they did make a few mistakes on billing etc, however these were quickly rectified. Gym facilities were nice as were the pools.. food served was of good quality but obviously hotel prices. I’d certainly use this hotel again.. good tea making stuff in the room, but I’d have liked a small fridge.. shower facilities were good although in my room it was a bit difficult to turn the shower full off..

The suite we had was huge, so no complaints regarding space. It did, however, have a moth problem! We wondered why a mini fridge had been put on the carpet, next to the door, as it was out of place. Well my daughter went to put some drinks in it & came back screaming about flying bugs. I went to see & found lots of baby moths moving around. I moved the fridge & it had been covering a large moth eaten patch of carpet! I managed to 'get rid' of all the moths! When I discussed it with the lady on reception she seemed oblivious to the situation. Considering the size of the damaged piece of carpet, the issue had been there for a long time! Aside from that, the whole room could benefit from being redecorated & the mattresses were rock hard, but the bathroom was lovely & we had a wonderful seaview. Breakfast was ok, but I'm glad it was included in the price as it wasn't worth what was charged. One very good point though was about the lack of noise! There were 2 Christmas parties being held on both nights of our stay & we didn't hear a peep from any of them! We were on the 3rd floor, right by the lift, but still we didn't hear any music or anyone staggering to bed, which makes me think they purposely put us away from any party goers that may have been staying in the hotel! The hotel pool, albeit small, was lovely & warm & my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent in it! Overall I would stay here again, just not in that suite & I wouldn't bother with breakfast!

Had a great time at this lovely hotel. Ok maybe needs a little update but the place is charming. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and work hard to make your stay a great experience. The breakfast was great and such a variety. Will definitely be staying again. Thanks so much.

The staff were very helpful when dealing with a minor issue with our room.

The hotel was lovely. We had a nice big room, with a beautiful seaview. The bed was very comfortable & we had breakfast brought to the room, which was a lovely start to our day. We used the swimming pool, which was warm. The swimming pool area was very run down, lots of chipped paint, but the area was useable. Really lovely stay, will be staying again later in the year.
