Great location, Fantastic experience, lovely room and staff here!

When we arrived our first impression was not good. It looked very run down and dirty. Went into the reception which lifted my spirits a bit as was nice and clean and looked fresh. We then went to check in which took a while so whilst they were sorting that out went to use the toilet and it was dirty and no hand dryer or towels to dry our hands. Finally got our key so went upstairs. Entered our room which was very small and had stains all over the carpet. My husband went to have a shower but the hose was only tall enough to reach his stomach! I then went to have a bath and the plug was jammed so couldn't empty it. We then went to make a cup of coffee and went to fill the kettle up from the sink taps to be running yellow! When husband said about this the man on reception said sometimes you need to run it for some time! As you can imagine we did not make ourselves a coffee. Only good thing about the room was the beds were clean. Curtains didn't close fully so had all the lights from outside coming in and lots of noise coming from road. Went downstairs in the morning for breakfast it all looked lovely until we tried the food. It was not good at all and I ended up having just a crossiant and leaving. For the price we paid of £160 for one night I can well and truly say it was not worth it at all! We were very disappointed as we don't get away much and was hoping for a nice night away. Also when we booked it said they had an outside swimming pool. We went to have a look at it and it was completely empty apart from a dirty ashtray in it

Excellent breakfast - well cooked and hot. Pleasant room. Appreciated how warm it was in the light of the cool weather. Very friendly staff - everything done with a smile. Very reasonable price. Central location is very convenient and secure.

Spent just shy of a month at this hotel while on a course and the only thing I can say about it is "fabulous"!! From the comfortable refurbished rooms to the excellent staff all back up by the perfect location to everything Bournemouth has to offer. I genuinely cannot recommend this hotel enough. I will definitely be returning as soon as I can.

Stayed here for 2 nights last week. Reception area looked nice and the staff are lovely. Carried our bags in from the car and up to our room, as yes, the lift was out of order. I am having a knee replacement next week so that was inconvenient but the staff are SO kind and caring and we managed. They also took bags back to the car when we left. Room, bedding and bathroom clean, THE most important thing in any hotel in my opinion and lovely big fluffy towels. We weren't booked in for breakfast so can't comment on that, but the dinning room looked clean and tidy too. We did however, have dinner there one evening; the starter was okay but the main meal was pretty dreadful and all had clearly come out of a packet from the freezer. They really do need to get that sorted. I believe it has recently been taken over and there are some teething problems but nothing insurmountable and I think that once they have found their feet it will be a very nice smooth running hotel. I wish them the best of luck.

On first glance the hotel is looking tired and needing some maintenance, but we had a lovely warm welcoming, front of house could not do enough for you. We had a lovely nights sleep, the bedding was clean and bed was very comfy! We would definitely recommend due to the amazing hospitality of the staff, they would truly go above and beyond for you! Thank you so much for our stay!

We stayed recently in April, on first note hotel wasn’t looking as it was shown in pictures on website. The first time expression wasn’t good at all as the bar lights were off and reception wasn’t a good one. Overall we decided to cancel the booking, but then we met an Indian guy name Vikram. The moment we met him we just changed our mind, the way he handled our family which turn around the experience. Vikram was a truly gem for this hotel and we would recommend this hotel just because of the hospitality shown by the staff thier specially the front desk manager Vikram.

If you want a nice relaxing, well kept bit of leisure getaway, don’t book here. Outside: all the paintwork is/has come off - looks very very tired. Reception- the “bar” looked like a run down school disco with all the tables pushed to the side all with the lights turned off. Looked like they were refurbing the whole room, nope just lights were off. Reception - no accessibility for disabled/mobility issues. No lift, disguised with a plant. Room - tiny! For a normal size person there is little to no room to even wash let alone wash hair. Probably have more room outside the shower and then getting back in to rinse. Little to no maintenance, all the woodwork chipped, no milk in the tea tray … Breakfast - not a great selection and limited seating for the size of hotel. Only one waiter to clear away the dirty tables with an open collar and no tie.

My family booked the guest house for a night. On first impressions it was nice and the service was good, bringing extra bedding/linen for the pull out sofa bed. However the house is in poor condition. The fridge freezer is stale and dishwasher is poorly maintained resulting in a bad stench in the kitchen. The fixtures / fittings need TLC as missing light bulbs and damaged walls. The worst part was one of the bedrooms smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Overwhelming so, that it couldn’t be used and we couldn’t let our son sleep in there. The only solution offered was to “febreeze it”. It needed fumigating. They did offer our son a room in the hotel but as he is 12 years old we decided against that. Also no format offered to log a complaint when asked. Good concept but needs improving.
