My wife and I together with our granddaughter aged 11 visited here for lunch. We chose the Inn based on trip advisor reviews and hadn’t been before. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and led to our table in their restaurant area. The menu was extensive. We were advised about specials etc. We chose main meals of haddock and chips, game pie (with chips) and fish pie with a cheesy topping. All clearly cooked to order and were all piping hot and all very good. We couldn’t manage anything else as the meals were substantial but did have a look at the sweets on offer which were very tempting. With drinks and a tip came to about £70. Thank you to all concerned including those working in the kitchen. We will return at some point and were also shown the outside area too. Book to avoid disappointment as they can get busy.

Eating out can be a real challenge for me because of a serious health condition which limits the amount and the variety of food I can eat. The staff at the Oak were so accommodating - they didn't turn a hair at my rather odd main course request, and even presented it beautifully. It was the most comfortable experience I have had and I look forward to a return visit.
