I checked into this hotel on April 13, 2025, for one night. ...and I'm thrilled that I only booked one night. It was a horrible experience. The biggest takeaway is that the sheets in my room were dirty. Clearly, the staff simply made up the bed after the last guest. Worse, the room had a heavy perfume scent. Clearly, the hotel was trying to mask some odor. When I informed the front-desk staff that my sheets were dirty, they addressed the situation straight away, and they comped my dinner. But let me be clear: Clean sheets are preferable to free dinner. My friend and I arrived at nearly 9pm, so we were tired. Arriving to dirty sheets made for a tough evening. The hotel exterior is very nice. Favara is not so nice. The neighborhood reminds me a lot of neighborhoods I've seen in low-resource countries. The hotel is difficult to find, and the staff weren't helpful. The hotel advised me to put in the address of a nearby pharmacy and follow the signs that point to another hotel. It took us 20 minutes to find the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant that is mediocre at best. We stayed at the hotel because we were going to do touristy stuff in nearby Agrigento. The hotel in Favara was less expensive. My recommendation to anyone traveling to the area to see the sights in Agrigrento--Book a nicer hotel if you can. Alba Palace has the potential to be nice--but it isn't. The towels are thin. The bed sheets may not be washed. And the food in the hotel restaurant is less than mediocre.
