The good points first. Rooms were amazing, spacious clean and comfortable. The bad points. Where should I start? Pre-ordered Christmas Dinner, absolute shambles. Waiting staff asking us what was missing, Who else still needed food, considering we pre-ordered I'm not sure why it over 15minutes to get the table covered. Food. The Salmon was overcooked and the skin was burnt enough that you could lift it off what was left of the salmon, the roast beef was rubber, the vegetarian (supposed to be a Wellington? Was basically sage and onion stuffing on top of a puff pastry square. Definitely not fresh, it looked like it had been cooked previously and reheated. Lovely Roast potatoes though. Deserts. The Crème Brulee was basically hot custard with Bailey's. Extremely runny and not at all what a Crème Brulee should turn out like The Christmas Pudding was the smallest slice you slice from a slab of bought in pudding. The cheese board (which was included in the initial cost) didn't even arrive. For £95 a head (£49 for a kids meal) it was an absolute joke. If you stay here which I recommend as the rooms are great, please avoid the breakfast. Poached Eggs where basically boiled. Full English consisted of two over cooked sausages, Luke warm bacon took out of a hot hold, a raw tomato and some toast. Again this had to be pre-ordered and we had to specify what time we wanted breakfast for. Being so specific about timings surely should mean the food is cooked fresh for the time requested.
