Looks nice on the site, but was very disappointing for our 2 day stay. Room was a good size. Mini fridge in the room was not working. There was no soap/shampoo in the bathtub. We had to get out and pump the sink soap. The stair runner was just filthy. Most disappointing was the minimal, basic as it gets breakfast, and Helene's impatience. Cleanliness in the shared help yourself area just not good (kettle/prune lids/cheese shelf not clean.) We received an email after check out saying we would be charged 30 Euro if we did not return the bath soap dispenser! We would not recommend this hotel.

Everything was excelent! The only problem was very bad weather and no one umbrella on the reception. Very nice in lobby

Very central and yet still so quiet and comfortable. A beautiful building with comfortable rooms and lovely common areas.

We had a lovely stay at the Villa Victor Louis. Helene was extremely helpful right from the moment we stepped through the door, as were the two young men on reception. We felt well taken care of. The hotel itself is in a quiet residential street just a short walk away from the main attractions of Bordeaux. The area has lots of little shops and is full of character. Our room was nicely decorated at well appointed with everything we needed for a three night stay, and looked out onto a pretty courtyard garden.

Villa Victor Louis is a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet side street but only 5minutes from the centre and easily walkable to all the key sites and shopping streets. The whole building has been thoughtfully decorated, and the rooms are individually styled - ours had a wonderful marble bathroom! You can read in the drawing rooms and take breakfast in the Winter Garden and curl up with a book outside in the courtyard garden at the back. All of the staff are charming, and eager to offer help and support when you might need it, whether its directions and travel options through recommendations on bars etc to try out Bordeaux' most famous product! What would be even better would be to include instructions on how to use the airconditioning in the guest guide - as ours wouldnt work and no amount of Googling turned up a comprehensible manual for how to turn it on/reset/override or whatever actually needed doing to it!

It is such a beautiful place!! Very French 🥖 The decor is so nice and the staff very professional as well. Each bedroom is unique, in a very beautiful way and the place is also very quiet. Great for a weekend for work or for a couple. The little garden makes all the difference.
