Nice room,clean and smells so good,it’s so near the station, mr.Giovanni gives us a warm welcome and we were surprise that inside our room there is a refrigerator and a coffee maker machine, toilet is clean too,,it’s a walking distance (good exercise in the morning)to the city center and we have breakfast down at the bar, which are so kind and help us where to buy souvenirs I’m sure to recommend this place and I wish to come back again someday and stay wt BNB CENTRALE Grazie mille sig.Giovanni di Luca

This was a small operation on the third floor of a building very close to the train station, as the name suggests -- why I chose to stay here – and because photos showed the room as a fairly spacious double, with a handy single bed to spread out my stuff. The room faced the street and was rather noisy at times. That wasn’t so bothersome but … although there were “no smoking” signs, the hallway reeked of a sickening cigarette smoke. The listing may have mentioned it, but there was no in-room private bathroom; instead, I was offered a “private” bathroom down the hall, which turned out to be a major hassle. The WIFI was good enough though it wasn't connecting 100% of the time. Other than that, my two-day stay was fine enough. The room came with a comfortable bed and everything I needed, including a refrigerator, and the proprietor was very helpful. I was offered a free coffee and a brioche each morning which, I was told, wasn’t always provided with reservations made through ******* (true or no, I was offered a lot more breakfast elsewhere during my trip across Northern Italy ... while paying less). All in all, given the fairly high price paid, I think I might have found more suitable lodging near Bologna Centrale. I struggled to give this review four stars; reading reviews by other guests got me there.

The owner was the most kind person and also the accomodation was great. The place is near the central station and also 10-15 min away from Piazza Maggiore, a very nice place full of history and a must to visit.

We had a great stay at Bed & Breakfast Centrale. Giovanni was an excellent host who welcomed us warmly (communication prior to our stay was prompt and efficient). The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had a fridge and a coffee maker which we weren't expecting. The position of the property was very convenient for the train station - a three minute walk from the side entrance of the station. There were lots of places to eat nearby ( and , of course, shops and a supermarket) and we had a great meal at an authentic Italian restaurant recommended by Giovanni. Bed & Breakfast Centrale is quiet and comfortable with a convenient location for exploring the city. We highly recommend a stay here and if we return to Bologna we won't even consider staying anywhere else. Thank you Giovanni.

We arranged to stay here several months before actually arriving and had excellent communication with Giovanni throughout. Bologna Centrale is a short 2 blocks away making it convenient for train travelers such as us. Once we arrived he gave us suggestions on where to eat as well as a map to orient us. We spent 2 rainy days in Bologna during the recent flooding and were grateful to return to our room after a day of wet sightseeing. Our room was comfy with two beds, great WiFi and lots of hot water. We opted for the quick breakfast at the cafe downstairs and enjoyed that as well.
