These are rooms above a bar in a caravan park but saying that they are amazingly located for the beach - the rooms are compact but have all you need - tea/coffee biscuits , bottles of water with glasses and our package included a bottle of Prosecco which came with proper Prosecco glasses, the bathroom had toiletries on the wall for washing hands and a shower. The bar was basic with wooded tables and chair. Pool table and darts board were available. Food in the evening looked good although we had already eaten that afternoon. But the breakfast was good and quickly served - vegetarian option available , cereals and yogurts - as much toast as you wanted . Because of the location we would go back and the staff were all pleasant . Nice little built in wardrobe for popping your bits in and a dressing table with mirror.

The title says it all. Anna the hotel owner is an amazing host and she did everything she could to make my stay a great experience. Nothing was too much for her and i felt guilty at times that she was going out of her way to keep myself and all her guests happy. She is a host who genuinely cares for her guests and the place has a great atmosphere as a result. The food was great and I had the benefit of being put up a sea-facing room. I got to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean every night and it's something I will miss when I leave Bacton. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Hotel owners could learn a lot from Anna's devotion to her job. A great experience at The Castaways and I hope to return soon. Thank you Anna!

Stayed in room 1 for one night and one night was enough for somewhere to crash it was OK. Staff very friendly, room had a musty smell to it and wasent very big, bottom sheet on one bed had a stain on it. Window was dirty and overlooked caravan park, no Seaview as stated on booking. Breakfast was OK but looked at menu and choose big breakfast 2 of everything but was told we looked on wrong side we should of looked at hotel menu which was 1 of everything felt slightly cheated seeing as we paid extra for breakfast would of been cheaper to opt for no breakfast and pay 9.50 for big breakfast.

Popped in for Sunday lunch only. Lovely family run restaurant who made us feel very at home and obviously care about their customers. The food portions were very generous .hot and freshly cooked. Loved the Yorkshire puds. Definatly home made. Thank you

Small friendly family run site. Great location for the beach. Nice clean/good sized rooms. Friendly bar with good affordable meals. Breakfast very good. Lovely place to stay for a relaxing weekend

We stayed here for one night last weekend. Lets start with the positives! - the staff were very friendly and welcoming - the room was a good size for two adults - bed was comfortable (although a very small double) with soft pillows and clean bedding - the shower was nice with lovely clean and fluffy towels - the breakfast was served quickly and was OK - it was nice and quiet at night so we had a good sleep! Now for the negatives! - in our bathroom the vanity shelf hadn't been cleaned and still had stains / marks from the previous guests - the tea / coffee area hadn't been cleaned & the mugs and spoons were filthy / badly stained - our table for breakfast was sticky / hadn't been cleaned properly
