The Country Inn at Berkley Springs is a charming, aging, Colonial style property in the heart of Berkeley Springs and adjacent to the State Park with its historic bath houses with thermal spring waters. It has a lovely reception area and lounge tastefully furnished and decorated with period furniture and lithographs portraying scenes of the earliest years of the United States. There are a high quality restaurant and tavern with bar and booth seating at one end of the hotel and a pleasant, leafy garden snd patio bar at the other.
Our room was in a four story annex containing most of the hotels bedrooms; it was spacious and comfortable and nicely furnished in American Colonial style The main house is not large enough to contain more than a few bedrooms.
We loved the ambiance, the convenience to the thermal baths, the full service, reasonably priced restsurant, and the helpful, friendly staff.
We thought the hotel needed a minor renovation to make its many virtues shine. On the whole we loved our stay here. It is excellent value if one is content with unpretentious, fading charm.
